Title: Cannot install GSX for FSX
Post by: ChrisZ755 on May 24, 2020, 02:28:51 am
Hello, this is my first post ever. I had GSX installed for FSX before, but it cannot be installed after I reinstalled windows 10 for some reason. The installer was in a status of connecting for a long time, then the installation failed due to "the operation timed out". It was unable to execute the installer I already made a backup in the previous installation after I clicked retry. Hope someone can help me, thanks!

Hi ,

Not too sure why the installation file is in the One-Drive folder.
You might want to move the installation file to another folder, say, C:\Temp.

Cheers,
Chris.

The installer will first download its pieces in your Documents folder and, if you enabled OneDrive to store your Documents, it's normal it will download the installer there. Note that, the Documents folder is used ONLY to backup the installer files, not to install into!

However, from your screenshot it seems you have some kind of problem in your OneDrive configuration, because instead to point to the Documents folder, it shows ??

Sorry for replying late, my computer wasn't able to load the forum properly in this week.

Thank you Chris, moving the installer files to another folder worked!

Thanks Umberto, it was the problem of my OneDrive configurations. OneDrive was causing a lot of problems since I've tried it a few weeks ago.

Best Regards,
