Title: VooDoo's Effects and carrier enhancements?

Hello. Has anyone heard from VooDoo? I am trying to find a backup or copy of his wake and bow spray effects for carriers. Seems his website is down, just wondered if anyone has a backup copy?

Thanks, micro. I have that one, but I can't find the read me file. Don't you have to edit or add something to the carrier's config file? What you sent me goes into the main effects folder, right? I know it's a small detail, but it makes it more realistic.

Simaddict, you are correct. You have to add these lines (or at least the [Effects] line) to the end of the "sim.cfg" in the simobjects/boats/USS_Nimitz folder.

static_pitch=0.0                //degrees, pitch when at rest on the ground (+=Up, -=Dn)
static_cg_height=0.0             //feet, altitude of CG when at rest on the ground

[DesignSpecs]
max_speed_mph = 50

Can the included bow wave be add to the carrier too?
Just looking for hte best effects to add :D

Another question, if i may bother you a little bit more: What effect name (I guess it's called) would one use for the bow wave? Like for example, the wake is shown in the [Effects] section as wake=(whatever the right one for that ship is).fx  That I can figger out, just pick the right wake for the right boat, no sweat. But to add a bow wave, what do I use for the XXXXXX= part? IE: What do I put in for the X's to get a bow wave to show? I know the right .fx file, that's not a problem, again, but I can't find any info on what goes on the left side of the = sign.

I did just as in micro's post above. In the carriers config, at the bottom reads-

[Effects]
wake = voo_wake_nimitz

Ok, just so I am certain, the proper entry for a bow wave is wake=, and that covers both wake and bow-waves?
I read over on the FSDeveloper forums something about "nesting" effects all into one file. I am guessing that's what they did in this case then, to get both bow wave and wake.

Correct. I noticed that too. It covers wake, and bow. Kind of confusing, but it works!

With regards to Javiers Nimitz anyone know what the default wake files are for all the ships included in his package? Which file within P3Dv3.2.3.16769 is called/used for the ship/s wake?
