Title: F-104 installations
Post by: SSI01 on June 03, 2014, 04:49:13 pm
I have a purchased copy of the basic F-104 installation, and have installed both add-on packs.  All of this had to be installed into FS9.  No problem.  I have three other iterations of FS9, each with names other than "FS9," covering different eras of aviation.  FSGW3 for 1903 to 1949; FSSW50 for 1950 to 1959; FSSW60 for 1960 to 1969.  There are some F-104s in the FSD/Cloud9 package from the 1960s, and a very few from the 1950s.  I want to transfer those aircraft from FS9 into the iteration of FS where they would fit era-wise.  Is this possible?

It's best if you edit your FS9 registry key to point to the folder you want to install to, and let the installer install there. Also, it's best if your FS9 registry keys are always pointing to the installation you want to use, because they ARE being read and used by add-ons, and not just our own.

So, if you have some kind of switching system, be sure it also updates the registry keys of the sim to be executed, just before it's being launched.
