Title: Problem displaying Airport menu at high altitude airports
Post by: Ray Proudfoot on February 03, 2026, 02:52:59 pm
P3Dv5.3HF2 but this probably applies to all sims.

I’m approaching MMMX - Mexico City airport, altitude 7,300ft above sea level. I open the GSX menu at 9,000ft AGL but all I see is the option to display the Map. No nearby airports are shown.

Eventually at 9,000ft ASL it appears but my ground altitude is only 1300ft. I’m a little busy flying the approach.  ;D

Could an adjustment be made please Umberto to cater for high altitude airports?

Same problem at SKBO Bogotá altitude 8,300ft.

I opened the GSX menu soon after takeoff and menu items were available. I didn’t go any further.

I was sure I replied already, not sure why the message is gone. Is it fixed by unchecking the "disable GSX in cruise" option ?

Thanks. I’ll check over the weekend and let you know.
