Title: change of location for the MFS2024 community
Post by: rencath on January 14, 2026, 10:26:30 am
Hi
Following the reinstallation of mfs2024, I decided to install it on a different disk than C. How do I modify the location of the community installation in fsdt, which by default looks for it on the C disk when it is on my E disk?

Thanks by advance for help me.

The FSDT Installer looks in the folder pointed by the UserCfg.opt file, so if you moved the community folder in the only official way that works ( from the MyLibrary menu ) AND you started the simulator at least once after doing that, you can be sure the UserCfg.opt will be updated and the installer will read it.

However, if you used another method to move the Community folder (like creating a link/shortcut, etc. ) it's the wrong method, and we cannot support it.

Another possible reason, is you reinstalled into a different Windows user account than the one you installed it before.
