Title: GSX Pro - Error When Updating to Latest Version
Post by: nobleord on January 10, 2026, 11:42:16 pm
When trying to update to 3.7.5 from 3.7.4, I am getting the attached error that it can't find the "couatl" folder. This folder is indeed not there, but there is a "couatl64" folder.  I also tried to do a check and I get the same error.  I chose to quite the install and not continue.  Will this require an uninstall and reinstall... or is there a better fix?

I have GSX (and other FSDT) items installed for MSFS2020.  I recently installed MSFS2024, but have not added any FSDT items to it.

Thanks,
Bryan

This is not normal, since the Addon Manager\couatl folder should always be present in any case. Something must have removed it (antivirus?), you can try to create it as an empty folder and run the update then.

Thanks. I did that and it looks like it is now properly installed. I had to run the "check" about 5 times, but eventually got through the process without any warning messages. Was getting the attached and a similar one about catering logos. I never saw any messages from AV that it was blocking anything.

We don't have any corrupted files online, but if you are getting them it's either:

- the antivirus blocking the download

- not enough space on the Windows temporary drive

- a problem with your local cloudflare node. This might be fixed with a VPN.

However, if you managed to complete the install without errors, it means the update went fine.
