Not sure if this is a "problem" of the scenery or the KDFW area by default, but one of the things I tend to look at when it comes to sceneries is just how close the autogen comes to the actual scenery. I've noticed that it doesn't come that close to KDFW in this case and I was wondering about that. Feel free to share your opinion.
"Immersion" is thrown around a lot, well, if there's not that much autogen around an airport, the immersion factor for me goes down.
A good recent example of that is EPWA, great freeware scenery, but large exclusion (I think or is it something else?), autogen way off in the distance.

My autogen settings are full right. And Ultimate Terrain night lighting is turned off when I don't fly at night (can drastically reduce autogen when turned on).
