I recently discovered, that Louisville is not correctly showing in my P3D5.3. I reinstalled it several times. The product is installed and active according to the program manager but it looks like this

I have no clue, what is wrong. All other 12 FSDT sceneries are perfect. Cuoatl, addon manager and gsx run and are present in the drop down menu.
Any help is appreciated.

Since there were 3 separate threads all saying the same thing, which of course I cannot replicate, I removed everything so we can start from scratch here, because it was very confusing having to follow 3 identical threads.
I can only confirm there are no issues whatsoever with KSDF in P3D. Attached are screenshots I just took now, in P3D V5 and V4. I don't have V6 currently installed, but I have no reason to believe it would be any different.
I even tried to Deactivate it and Reactivate it from the FSDT Installer, no difference, works in both cases.
Of course, it requires both GSX and KSDF to be installed and updated.

Hi Umberto
I am still having problems with missing buildings at KSDF can you please let me know what I should try or check?
missing files perhaps?
I have ensured that addon manager and gsx are running and both visible in task bar
I have done a deactivate seven times
I have done a complete re-instal 4 times
I have done fresh installed via original 'ksdf_fsx_setup.exe'
I have done fresh reinstall via addon manager 4 times
all other FSDT products are functioning correctly which is good.
elevation and terrain look as shown in screenshot attached. Big terrain walls around some parts of the airport
could the airport have been added to an exclude list
The message when loading a new session in top coroner reads, "trial licence activated", but I own the scenery so not sure why its in trial mode.
This leads me to think their may be some kind of activation error/licence error.
Has anyone else experienced similar situation to me????
-
You don't say if you did the only important step:
- Update with the FSDT Installer. BOTH GSX and KSDF.
About the Trial message, if the activation is lost for any reason, the scenery won't disappear. Instead, it will WORK in Trial, that is for 5 minutes per session, and they will disappear.
If the scenery it's just not there at start, that's not Trial mode: that's a problem with the software not even running. Which is very strange, since you said you have the GSX menu visible, which couldn't possibly happen if the software didn't run.

Umberto,
You keep posting the same information regarding the important steps and WE have done that! I have, as well as others, posted here multiple times that we have done those so called important steps, and they HAVE NOT WORKED!!!!! You're determined not to fact that FACT!!!!!! How many times do I have to say that!!!!!! I am getting pissed off about this and you just keep ignoring this and don't reply to our posts. You just ignore them!!!! You stated that if the scenery it's just not there at start, that's not Trial mode: that's a problem with the software not even running. Which is very strange, since you said you have the GSX menu visible, which couldn't possibly happen if the software didn't run. The GSX menu IS visible in my sim but I still have NO scenery, PERIOD!!!!!! Face it!!! I also have noticed that you have taken down my post FOR NO REASON, and I'm pissed off about that!!!!!! I come here for support and this is the way you treat me and all of us!!!!! I am so angry and pissed off about this kind of treatment that I'm having chest pains around my heart and have to calm down. Your problem is that you have bad business practices and if you don't like what someone says about your practices, you take it down!!!!! There were NO violations in my posts so you had NO RIGHT to take it down!!!!!! Don't give me this business that I have violated some terms or agreement, and I and EVERYONE knows that I HAVE NOT violated any terms!!!!! I have NEVER been to a forum where I get NO support and my posts get ignored!!!!!! I'm very, very, very, very, very, angry about the treatment I'm getting and YOU have done NOTHING but ignore me, as well as others, and effected my health!!!!!!!!!

The reason why I wrote this:

Was PRECISELY so nobody would assume his post was "removed for no reason" and no, it wasn't just your post, I removed all posts in all identical threads, and there IS a reason, which I just explained here, which you seems to have conveniently ignored. Are you trying to say it was EASY for others to follow the same thing repeated over and over across 3 threads ?
About the rest of your post, I won't even reply to it, since it's only an annoying of rudeness and accusation, completely unfunded, since I replied ( TO YOU as well! ) multiple times, and you know very well.
I'll make another test now, by completely removing the scenery and reinstalling it from scratch, since I always updated an installed copy.
-
New test after uninstalling KSDF, removing all its folders manually, then running JUST its installer (which will of course performed an update of the scenery and GSX at the end), no issues whatsoever, worked at the first try, new screenshot in P3D5 attached.

I can understand that having 3 threads would confuse everything but I only saw 2 threads on this subject. I would view both posts and then reply. I created a new thread because my post was for P3D version 4.5 and this thread is for P3D version 5. I've said the things I've said because you keep ignoring the fact that this scenery issue is still ongoing and has not been solved. You keep posting the same so called "important steps," that have been followed to the T by many users and has NEVER solved the problem. Then when users replied back saying that following those important steps have not resolved the scenery issue, you ignored them. Many here have replied back to you saying that it has not fixed the problem, and you have never replied to those comments. It doesn't matter if you're not having this problem. The point is that many of us here are still have the problem and you just ignore them. That is what was making me angry. You posts screenshots showing that it worked on your system but the fact remains that many here have followed the important steps and has not resolved it. And you have never replied saying that you and your team are looking into this. We are just left behind with a product you and your team developed and does NOT load any of the scenery. We're not saying that it did not work on your system. Why do you think that many here replied to this post saying that doing the important steps have not solved the problem? We're not just posting this stuff for no reason. We have followed your important steps and has not resolved it and the scenery does NOT load. Why don't you except that fact? This is why I've been so angry and said the things I've said because nobody here was getting any support. The scenery loads on your computer but it does not load on our computer, even after following the important steps. Now what is the reasoning behind that? That has never been answered nor looked into. You claim that you replied to my post multiple times. The only replies I got from you is when you posted about the important steps, which have not resolved the problem, and there were only about 2 or 3 replies. I'm not trying to make your work harder. I just expect to get support on a product that I paid for, not this following the import steps that I have tried multiple times and has not resolved the scenery problem and then you don't provide any reason why it hasn't resolved it, and we're just left in the dark about all of this. And why is it that every other FSDT addon works just fine except for KSDF? I also want to mention that the same issue occurs in FSX.

We know it works fine on your system. But you ignore the fact that it does not work on OUR system, even after following your steps, and we have posted screenshots proving that. Also, I am not running P3D version 5. I am running P3D version 4.5 and I'm running Windows 10 Pro. And what operating system are you using? Since it works fine on your system, you seem to assume that the scenery issue does not exist and it is resolved. It is not resolved. If it were resolved, why are people continue posting here about the scenery issue?

I just wanted to post this image proving that even though the Addon Manager and the GSX are visible in the P3Dv4.5 simulator, the KSDF scenery still does not load.

You keep failing to read my posts accurately enough. In my previous post of this very thread after it was cleaned up (so yesterday), I posted screenshots of BOTH P3D 4 and P3D 5 again.
The 2nd post I made was by testing by doing a full uninstall and reinstall from scratch, so I only posted a P3D 5 screenshot but sure, here's the P3D 4 screenshot.
About the OS, I'm running Windows 11 of course, since Windows 10 went out of support in October 2025, so I updated to Windows 11 shortly after that, because I cannot provide support running an unsupported OS myself. That's on main main dev PC, I have two other PCs which already came with Windows 11 preinstalled, so there's no way I'll be able to test in Windows 10 anymore.
However, the whole OS discussion is useless: if there was a software problem at large that would make it incompatible with Windows 10, GSX won't work, since it runs exactly on the same software required by KSDF, so there's no way a possible OS issue would affect one but not the other so, it must be something else entirely.
Maybe you can try a manual clean up like I did in my last test:
- Uninstall KSDF from the Windows Control Panel. DO NOT reply YES to the question "Do you want to remove the Addon Manager"
- Go in the main Addon manager folder and remove these folders (assuming the default installation path, if not, use yours):
c:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\FsDreamTeam\KSDF
c:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\Simobjects\Misc\FSDT_KSDF
- Download the latest KSDF installer (just to be sure you don't have an outdated version) and reinstall it.
- Let it perform the update, which will update both he scenery and GSX.
- Start the sim, and let it rebuild the airport cache, it might take a while on the first startup, so don't interrupt it.
-
Followed instructions to the letter. Still nothing, as this screen shot was taken after following instructions....

Hi Umberto,
I've tried the manual cleanup. The only thing different is that I used the App feature in Windows 10 rather than the Control Panel. Should I use the Control Panel or does it make any difference? I go to the App feature and uninstalled the addon. Then I go to the Addon Manager to be sure the the FSDT/KSDF and the FSDT-KSDF under Simobjects/Misc have been removed. Usually, the uninstall deletes those folders. Then I downloaded the latest KSDF, which is version 1.1.1. After the install, I let it run the update. I've done all those things several times but does not load any of the scenery. When you say that if there was a software that was incompatible with Windows 10, are you referring only to the FSDT software or are you referring to any software outside of FSDT? But since GSX is visible under the Addons in P3D, I assume that GSX is running, and it works just fine. If you're referring to any software that is not FSDT related, is there any software I can try to remove? I don't understand how any software outside of FSDT could cause the scenery not to load. Also, how do I determine if I have the latest Live Update software? Should I use the Universal Installer or does it matter? I usually use the Live Update icon that's placed on my desktop after an install.

Just do what I said, don't change anything. That is:
- use the Windows CONTROL PANEL to uninstall
- remove any leftover folders as I've explained
- do the rest exactly as I've said.
When I said "the FSDT software", I mean the whole Couatl engine that runs BOTH GSX and KSDF. If it's not working for ANY reason, BOTH won't work.
If you have other FSDT sceneries installed and GSX and they work, the problem is something else entirely, as you are still missing something specific to KSDF, which again, I verified it's installed properly when doing a full Uninstall/Reinstall in the way I indicated.
And as I've said in my previous post, adding a diagnostic log would help.

Okay. I'll try it using the Control Panel. I would add a diagnostic log but I don't know how to do that and where the log is located. What is the exact file name? I figured that post was directed to sticky1202 because you replied to his post.

Where do I find the startup log?

You enable logging in the troubleshooting section of the settings page.

Hi all
I have been keeping up with this topic and have followed the step-by-step posted on the first page of this tread.
I am still unable to see the airport load-in after following the guidelines.
GSX is active
Addon manager is active
attached is .log file renamed as a .txt file for you convenience
many thanks for your continued support.
This certainly seems to be an unusual problem. hopefully this log file help somewhat.

Further edit

I also have FS2024 installed on same drive with GSXpro and KSDF for FS2024 also installed.

here is screen shot

I hope I did this correctly. Here's the log file.

Uninstalling the KSDF using the Control Panel and reinstalling made no difference. The same problem exist. I want to add that I did receive one error during the installation and here's what it said:
[Delete file
C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Temp\vcredist_x64.exe failed
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x86) - 14.27.29016
Setup Failed
One or more issues caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues and then retry setup.
For more information see the log file.
0x80070666 - Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product, use Add/Remove Program on the Control Panel.]
I did click OK when I was prompted and created a new file. I guess it probably did this because I have a later version.

Hope this is the correct log...I had to change the ".log" to ".txt" to upload it here.

After following "your essential and perfect guide" on how to install your scenery (even though I already had other FSDT scenery installed in P3Dv4, v5, and MSFS2020), I proceeded to completely uninstall it and download the scenery installer again, then executed it and waited for everything to update so it would "work correctly" in our simulator...
After a few minutes of this complex procedure, which we're all incapable of performing because "we're probably doing it wrong"—because we're apparently four years old—I started my P3Dv4 simulator with Windows 10 Extended Support (because yes, Microsoft provides extended support for those of us who can't migrate to their fantastic Windows 11), selected the default aircraft (F-22 Raptor), and navigated to KSDF airport to verify that everything was working correctly and...
¡Oh, surprise!, the problem persists and wasn't solved. Speechless.
I proceeded to navigate to another FSDT airport I have: Memphis (KMEM), and magically, this scenery worked... wow, incredible. I have no words.
I'm uploading another log file with its respective screenshots of the scenery, hoping that now you can see with your own eyes, Umberto, that "we have a problem here," and it seems you're taking us for fools, whether it's you, your colleagues at the company, or all of yours together.
This will be my last log file uploaded about this scenery. I don't intend to waste any more time uploading evidence of such a disastrous way of providing a solution to a bug caused by FSDT with your rushed "updates" without prior testing.
-
Yeah no success for me either! Can you guys at FSdreamteam please fix this issue!
-
Thanks to those who posted the log (that's why I always ask for it), I THINK to have understood the problem: check the name of this folder:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Addon Manager\couatl\KSDF
Is the folder name "KSDF" ( upper-case, correct ), or "ksdf" ( wrong ) ? If the name in your installation is "ksdf", rename the folder to "KSDF" OR just remove it and run an update CHECK again, so it will be restored correctly.
The issue is, it's a bug of the KSDF Full installer that dates 2023 hasn't changed ever since, it can only happen after a complete uninstall not just of the scenery itself, but even the entire Addon Manager folder, and it's there since 2023 so no, it's not a "rushed" or "untested" update, it's something that has been there for more than 2 years, but couldn't possibly notice until you made a complete reinstall from scratch of everything.
We'll obviously fix the full installer, but the above solution should work.
-
Congratulations!! Problem fixed!!
Jim

Thanks so much Umberto,
The scenery problem is fixed.

Works for me now as well!
