Title: GSX is installed but not found in MSFS24

Hi there,
i hope I have not missed a post describing my problem.

I have installed GSX Pro to MSFS24, however it doesn't appear inside the sim. I've started couatl manually which sadly didn't help either and also did a full reinstall. I haven't moved any of the folders manually. What I've found was that there is nothing of GSX to be found in the Community folder which I believe may be the issue, though I don't know how to fix it. Also, inside of the FSDT Installer I can't see anything  under config.

Please clarify how you installed GSX into MSFS 2024. I hope you didn't manually copy the packages in the Community folder: that will surely not work and the installer will automatically remove them if you did that.

I installed the installer, then I chose 2024 Steam and clicked Install. After it didn't appear in the sim I also clicked Check but that didn't help either. I never moved anything manually as I read in other post that that wouldn't help.

Not only it wouldn't help: it will surely not work and the installer detects this mistake, and will automatically remove the copied folders, that's why I had to ask, because that might be one reason why GSX appear in the sim.

Is GSX reported as "INSTALLED" now ? Is the Community folder detected correctly ?

Yes, it says it is Installed. It shows the Community folder to be on the Adminstrator account of my computer, but my Sim is installed on my user account. I can still find it in my appdata on both accounts though.

That's the problem. If your normal windows account doesn't have admin permissions, the installer (which requires admin permissions and will take them automatically), will install in the wrong folder.

But the sim won't start with the same account, so it won't work. The easiest solution is to give yourself admin permissions, see if your Community folder is now detected and reinstall there.
