Hi,
occured a problem while starting GSX. My AV reports a potential Trojan Virus infection caused by COATL64_boot.exe.
See report below.
ESETs delete COATL64.exe. Any ideas if the file has been infected on FSDT servers or false alert?
-
Same here with Eset Antivirus:
couatl64\Couatl64_MSFS2024.exe; a variant of Win64/Packed.Enigma_AGen.BD trojan
couatl64\couatl64_msfs.exe ;a variant of Win64/Packed.Enigma_AGen.BD trojan
Never had any warning before. This started from today, Eset keeps blocking all exe files of GSX even on update installation.

Most likely a false alert. Probably an ESET thing, happened to me to.
I just excluded the folder and temporarily paused the antivirus while updating.

It's surely a false positive and it's clearly an antivirus bug because, even if we *have* updated the Couatl64_MSFS2024.exe (we keep updating it each time a new Alpha build comes out), the couatl64_msfs.exe hasn't been updated since September 20th, and you can check this by looking at the timestamp of the Digital Signature tab in the file Properties.

Okay. I have presumed it. Will exclude the folder as said in one of the previous posts.

Im getting the same. Ive excluded folders but it's not helping.
In addition im getting a side-by-side error and have no idea how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I reinstalled GSX and noticed that I excluded the couatl.exe files only instead of the folder.
Ive now excluded the complete FSDT folder in ESET and seems to work fine now.

That's what the manual suggests to do in the Troubleshooting section: exclude the whole Addon Manager folder.
