Title: Designated gates
Post by: Kimchi on January 20, 2024, 12:24:56 am
I came from FSX with AES. And AES had the disadvantage that i had to pay per airport. The advantage was that after the payment AES worked flawless for that airport. GSX is good...when it works. And i understand that GSX has a huge battle with MSFS coding and sloppy Asobo work: wrong placement of jetways, parking spots. I have flown around the world real time with the PMDG 737-800 and boy i have seen awefuly designed airports: bumps and uneven taxiways, floating buildings and jetways.
Luckily GSX has the tools to setup GSX correctly for a gate. But in case of EHAM for example: there are about 100 gates and i only talk about 1 airport.
The sollution would be to be able to set designated gates at an airport: using the same gate everytime instead of adjusting hundred gates with the GSX adjustment tool.

It would have helped if you said what "EHAM" really means.

Because if it's FlyTampa EHAM, there's an extremely well done GSX airport profile, on FlyTampa's forum:

If you mean default EHAM, has at least two profiles you can try. No idea if they are good or not:

If you don't want to customize airports, don't do it, use pre-made profiles.
