Title: Failing to customize parking positions
Post by: sputnik8079 on January 04, 2021, 04:46:14 pm
Hello everybody
I'm enjoying your product, GSX with level 2 upgrade.

However, I have difficulty to customize parking position due to error.
At first, I couldn't see anything on the customization page, nothing of clicks worked
But I found the solution, setting the non-Unicode locale setting to English.
After I did so, the customization page looks fine, yet the program triggers another error when I try to set a parking position or something.
The error message and log are attached below.

Would you please let me know the solution?

Thanks.

I have a similar problem. I put a message here a few days ago. No one helps. I have p3d v5.1 hf1
I've tried re-installing it did not help
and if i click "reposition aircraft" the plane goes somewhere in the woods

From the error log, it seem that scenery has a problem like orphaned parking spots, overlapping nodes, etc. Try opening with ADE and run the "Fault finder" tool, it might indicate what the problem is.

Sorry, I installed ADE and tried to open it, but even failed in doing it. It didn't open the bgl file at all with the error message that said 'ADE has encountered a problem loading this file'. The file was located in scenery/1002/APX82180.

I successfully opened the file and ran fault finder, it showed no faults...

This is usually caused by one of your joystick not properly calibrated, the reposition function works in a way the airplane is set in Slew mode for a very brief time but, if one of your joystick is not set correctly ( the problem is usually the Null Zone ) it might cause the airplane to Slew away.

The best solution to fix this is to go in the Controls page and remove all the joystick Axes assignments in SLEW mode.
