Hi Umberto. I bought the Xtreme Prototypes Learjet 25 last week and today I used the fueling system for the first time. Very nice feature to have.
If none of the load options match the required fuel load the user has to enter the values in the P3D fuel dialogue. Returning to the sim the fuel truck then animates the load but in reality the fuel has already been loaded which somewhat spoils the effect.
Would it be possible for an initial choice to be made and then subsequent menus offer different values so that a precise amount can be loaded solely via the menu system?
For example if the first menu offered 1000lbs but I needed 1250lbs I could choose the 1000lbs option. Then a second level menu could offer 100, 200, 300, 400 etc. I’d choose 200 and then a third level menu could display 25, 50, 75 as final options. Of course each level of menu could have an option to start the fueling process.
That way, through multiple menu levels, the precise amount of fuel could be loaded. Somewhat like the parking gate menu system where there are multiple levels.
Hope that makes sense and worthy of consideration.

No, it hasn't.
Assuming the airplane is not flagged for having a custom fuel system (it's not included in the GSX database so, unless you did it yourself, I assume the default configuration is valid), even if you enter something in the default Fuel page of the sim, the fuel is not loaded immediately: your desired quantity is read by GSX and the plane will be refueled progressively by GSX, until the quantity you asked for is reached.
If, instead, you flagged the airplane for having a custom fuel system, than GSX will not touch your fuel at all, and will just animate its vehicles, for as long the airplane will be fueling itself. And, if the airplane has a custom fuel system, you shouldn't probably use the default Fuel page in the first place, because the airplane would have its own system.

That aircraft uses the default fuel system. But even if the fuel isn’t actually loaded by me entering that dialogue the overall effect is spoilt by having to do so.
My request stands.

I'm not entirely sure how having a GSX menu that would basically have to replace the default one would be so much different, in relationship to the immersion factor. It's still a menu, after all.
The proper way, would be something fancy, like an actual reproduction of a fuel loading card, displayed in 3d inside the VC, which you'll have to sign...which is surely something we might take into account for future versions.

It doesn’t need to be something as different as that. My suggestion is simply asking for a multi-level menu with diminishing values of fuel so a more accurate amount of fuel can be loaded. The current system, whilst helpful, is quite a blunt tool. If I require an amount between two values displayed how do I achieve it?
GSX has multiple menu levels when selecting a gate. I’m just asking for a similar procedure for fuel loading.

Use the default fuel loading page, the last option.

Again, see my previous reply: I don't see the value or the supposed immersion benefit of replicating with a multi-level menu what the default fuel load page does with a single page. If anything, it would require more clicks.

Okay. I understand you don't want to pursue this. I still feel that a GSX fuel menu would be preferable to the clunky P3D one.

But replacing it with something even more convoluted, won't be a solution. The proper solution, instead, would be getting rid of the menu system entirely, as I've already explained in one of my previous replies.
But that's not a quick fix, of course, and we are fairly busy on a big GSX update, that we really don't have much time to dedicate to something like this which, quite frankly, is really a minor detail.
-
I thought my suggested system would be simpler than the one you suggest. But it's your product and you have to do the work so I'm happy to wait for an update.
I always seem to catch you when you're busy. Lousy timing on my part. ???

We are always and constantly busy. GSX is under constant development, and we have all the other sceneries to keep up with.

And the free updates are very much appreciated. :)

The current system works fine as it is, I would say not to change anything, but simply add a few additional choices.
My suggestion is:

2 30%
3 35%
4 40%
5 45%
6 50%
7 55%
8 60%

Well, we can be asked to enter the number of passengers to board. I wonder, if it would be possible to enter the amount of fuel in kgs/lgbs instead of the rather crude percentage we have today.

Yes please @virtuali. Just extra options as shown in the post by PirateInparadise. It would involve very little effort and would benefit users of all sims, not just P3D.
