Title: Easter eggs?
Post by: FSXHD on October 14, 2008, 10:17:39 pm
I heard there was easter eggs included with the JFk scenery.  Anyone know where these are?  Supposidly, there are two extra airports that have the Park Me feature.  Anyone know which ones?

If I were a gambling man (which I am ;)), I would say Zurich and O'Hare.  Can't do someone else's payware airport, and there are so many default ones, you'd never find them.

I looked at O'Hare, no dice.  Didn't buy Zurich though.

Why not ?? ParkMe can be added to any airport...

Alright, both are defaults. One is in Europe, the other one is in Africa... :)

Cities would be too much...

It should be quite easy to guess the country for the one in Europe and, since this ParkMe version only has docking systems, it's not a GA airport for sure.

The one in Africa it's in a capital city near the Equator, in a country that once was covered by a nice video DVD about a famous jet of the '60s that was still in use there. The real airport doesn't have *any* docking systems but, since it also has a *very* funny ICAO code, we liked the joke...

I found the one in Africa!!

ICAO code: FOOL

Airport: Libreville International Airport

I checked in Italy.  2 airports in Rome and one in Naples: still no PARK ME in Europe!

Very good, that's right, it's Libreville (Gabon) and Milano Linate (Italy)

Now, the prize is:

If you could choose a 3rd party airport to get ParkMe support, what would you suggest ? We wanted to release a couple of ParkMe files for other popular payware airports, as freeware, in order to promote the system, and were wondering what people would need most.

FlyTampa TNCM or FlyTampa Kai-Tak.  I think Kai-Tak would benefit 5000000% from it, and I'd love it!

wait, I thought that FlyTampa's TNCM already had something like a park-me feature. If i'm wrong, whats the screen that has the arrows that point in the direction that you need to go when you pull up to the gate. BOS and SFO also have it. If i am wrong (which I probably am) will someone please explain the difference.
