Title: New PC - XPOI installed with GSX ……..?
Post by: FOD on December 27, 2023, 07:44:37 pm
Quite happily running all versions of GSX for several years.
Last month got new win11 pc and along with all other addons, installed GSX.
All ok except on the addons list when running P3D, I saw something called “XPOI”
I had never heard of it and certainly never installed it!
Realise now it’s old FSX utility from FSDT
So - why is it installed with GSX - and how do I get rid of it?
(Never saw it after installing GSX many times in Win10)
Thanks for help

GSX doesn't install XPOI so, why you think it's installed?

Hello,
I'm still with Windows 10. The other day I had to reinstall GSX + level 2.
I noticed that the XPOI appeared in add-ons with the option to disable it. I had no idea what it was.
I looked for where it could come from and discovered that it came from the gsx.
I haven't wanted to install it and I don't know how to uninstall it either.
It is true that I do not notice any difference when it is deactivated or activated (it is still a trial and only appears in some regions)
If it says it is not installed, why does it appear in add-ons?
I hope your help.
Thanks in advance

And again, XPOI doesn't come with GSX, and GSX doesn't install it. It will only update it if you ever installed once, even a long time ago, perhaps a trial version you forgot you had installed.
