Manual
« on: February 01, 2012, 03:11:49 am »
Hi,

Just got done installing GSX, is there a manual and/or instructions?. I didn't see a GSX sub directory within the FSDT directory. Does autogen and/or special effects need to be set?.

Thanks

The manual is a PDF file located here: Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsdreamteam\couatl\gsx\GSX_manual.pdf.

GSX requires no additional configuration, however you can customize some aspects of GSX to suit your tastes (see page 19 of the manual).

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply, didn't think of looking in the couatl sub-directory.

Thanks Again

All our product's manuals can also be accessed from the Addon Manager menu, there's a button to open the manual there.

Yes, of course you can open the manual directly, the link was already posted before:

Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsdreamteam\couatl\gsx\GSX_manual.pdf.

Strange it wouldn't work from the Addon Manager, we'll check it, maybe there'a problem with the filename/path.

humm, strange here; in this folder I just have three subfolders (airports, assistanceServices and parkingServices) and two files (__init__.pye and airportCustomization.pye)... should I reinstall? looks like anything is missing here...

I can see the manual just fine, I also tried removing it manually and reinstalling, and it's being reinstalled correctly. Try a reinstall, there's really no reason why it should't be there.

Maybe a desktop shortcut would make sense as well since I'm much more likely to read the manual outside of FSX, and finding it in the couatl sub-folder isn't very intuitive. Just a suggestion for future installers.

Yes, a desktop shortcut created by the installer is surely fairly easy to add.

The manual can be accessed from the Addon Manager menu, or in the fsdramteam\Couatl\GSX folder
