GSX manual, Page 39, chapter named Enable logging when GSX can’t even start

Your log shows your installation is not complete:

- Check the two GSX packages (or 3 in MSFS 2020) in the Community folder: they must be symbolic links (this is how they are installed), if they aren't (no small arrow on their icon), REMOVE them and select RELINK in the installer.

- After doing this, do an update CHECK, to be sure you are fully updated.

OK - that did NOT work. When I selected the GSX menu it did appear. I selected the pushback option. Got a new menu asking to select handler. I chose Menzies (recommended) and then NOTHING!! So what's next to try?

then NOTHING!!

"Then nothing" doesn't mean much. Do you still have the same error in the log ? Of course, you must check the log after the "nothing"

No, nothing means nothing happened. Instead, you are still having the same error, so the only possible reason for it, is you still haven't done what I suggested, let's try to make it simpler:

- REMOVE all GSX folders from the Community folder

- Start the FSDT Installer, select the correct simulator, and click RELINK, it should show "Installed"

- Click CHECK on GSX Pro.

Please stop the arrogant sarcasm. I did EXACTLY what you asked me to do. How dare you say I didn't. There is a problem - please help solve it in a civil manner - thank you.

You might have done it wrong without realizing it, which I'm sure was caused by my initial explanation not clear enough, so I changed the wording a bit to make it more clear.

Your error log is unmistakably clear: the simulator is not seeing an object that is surely installed with GSX and it's part of the gsx-world-of-jetways package so, if the package is there and it's updated, the object should be there.

Do you have the package installed and linked as a symlink ?

Yes.
There is a Community folder and a Community 2024. The files are in the Community folder. What else can I try?

Do you have the package installed and linked as a symlink ? That is: are these symlinks ( with a tiny arrow ) or real folders ? They should be links.

Try this:

- open the Livery Manager from the Config page.

- let it run to update the layout.json files, and exit.

- try again if you see the stairs.
