Create object failed - boarding does not start
« on: January 08, 2026, 08:54:44 am »
Hello

For the past few weeks I have had an issue with trying to commence boarding.  Catering and refuling works ok but then everything stops at Boarding Requested.  This happens with a variety of aircraft, default (A320 Neo and S340) and add on (Aerosoft CRJ).

To my untrained eye the consisten thing in the logs seems to be a "create object failed" error pointint o a FSDT Tug - thi is th line in the log attached - [00:07:28.922] Error: exception CREATE_OBJECT_FAILED in call AICreateSimulatedObject param #1 'FSDT_Tug_Endurance_STRATEGIC_CA'.

I noticed the other day that this does not happen with the A320 Neo and boarding does continue if GSX has loaded two of the self drive loader/scissor lift units rather than units requiring a scissor lift or belt loader and a tug with baggage train.

I have undterkaken a GSX reinstal and have used the offline installe incase I am missing a file but the issue remains.

A couple of log files attached and any help or advice would be very welcome, thanks.

You surely haven't the last update installed, since that TUG has been added very recently so, run an update CHECK now.

If that still doesn't work, check if both GSX packages in the Community folder are Symbolic links and NOT real folders. If they have a small arrow in the Explorer file view, they are Symbolic links as they should be but, if one (or both) don't have it, they are real folders, and this is wrong and not how we install GSX.

It is possible to invertedly change the folders from links to real folder when doing a backup/restore of the Community folder so, if this is the case, REMOVE both folders, then start the FSDT Installer and select RELINK.

Umberto, many thanks for such a fast response.  I am runing version 3.7.4.  But I did notice that one of the two files in the community folder did seem to be a real file (fsdt-gsx-world of jetways).  So I have deleted both files and relinked as you suggested.  Have just quickly loaded one flight in the Aerodoft CRJ 900 and all seems to be wroking well now. I'll try some more flight when I get a moment.
Thanks for your help
