And I have also attempted doing a nuke reinstall of GSX and every single folder related to FSDT via geek uninstaller, including the .net cache for GSX livery manager hidden very deep in the C drive. I can't get it to stop crashing no matter what I do.

Try setting it for compatibility mode 8.

Your .exe is outdated, even users posting before you had a newer version so, at least in your case, the problem is surely you have an outdated version. Run the update normally, and see if the .exe gets updated.

If it's not, try the Offline installer. If it still not updated, it's possible the antivirus is blocking the update, and might as well be a reason for the crash.

Now idk if this is normal. it crashed my simulator just 1 time. but every time i take off i check event viewer and it shows a crash. usually 30-60 seconds after i take off.

Issue Summary

Couatl crashes every session with a deterministic crash loop shortly after startup (even when idle). The Addon Manager automatically restarts Couatl; after several loops, MSFS 2024 can also crash.

This is not intermittent and is reproducible 100%.

Observed Behavior

Couatl crashes and auto-restarts repeatedly

Happens even without opening the GSX menu

Logs do not show a managed exception (failure occurs inside CLR)

One occurrence escalated into a full MSFS 2024 CTD

Temps normal, system otherwise stable

.NET 4.8 verified healthy

Visual C++ runtimes reinstalled

Antivirus exclusions applied

Empty Community → stable

Adding GSX back → crash loop returns

Start sim → Couatl initializes → CLR access violation (c0000005 in clr.dll)
Couatl enters restart loop; may later bring down MSFS.
Appears related to GSX airport parsing / SimConnect lifecycle in 2024.

I cannot reproduce it here, I'm running MSFS 2024 right now, in flight, for about 30 minutes, no issues.

It seems related to .NET in some way, which GSX doesn't use, except for checking the license (using the SORACO library, which is the only .NET related part of the code ) but, the issue is, we are not constantly checking the license for products: only once at start and never again for the whole session.

Try enabling Windows 8 Compatibility mode for the Couatl64_MSFS2024.exe, it shouldn't be required, but it might be in some cases.

We'll have some changes in the next update that will hopefully fix this (I can't reproduce it, so I must guess possible fixes that might be required depending on your version of the .NET runtimes).
