Passengers with pink textures

Any clue why I get pink textures for passengers while using thirdy part liveries, downloaded from flightstim.to? Here is displayed the PMDG 737-800 Ryanair by Atarium, but I have the same issue with the Fenix A320. No problems with the liveries download directly from thr PMDG Operation Center or the Fenix Livery Manager.

I thought that you ironed out this issue a few updates ago, but it's still here apparently

Run the updater again and go to GSX settings, wait for it do its job and close it.

I run again the updater and opened the GSX settings. Now it works fine. How did you know that? Do I need to do it every time I install a new livery?

He read the manual, Page 10, which says exactly that.

Of course not, because the exe.xml is started by the sim so, at that time, it's already too late to make changes to the installed packages, because the sim is already starting.

A full "automatic" method would need to be something that starts with Windows, but in addition to be very invasive, would require to:

- Always run in the background, constantly monitoring for ANY changes in the WHOLE Community folder.

- As soon ANY file is changed in the Community folder, it should verify it is a livery belonging to an airplane with Seated Passengers, and if it is, it should update it.

- If you start MSFS while it was updating a livery, it should either PREVENT you from starting the sim (highly annoying) or stop what it was doing, resulting in a partially updated package which will cause...pink passengers again.

So, basically, a lot of complication for not many benefits, since you would still missing files in some cases.

In addition to that, the whole concept of having to update the airplane when a new livery is added, is no longer valid in MSFS 2024 when using a NATIVE 2024 airplane, because those have an attached_object.cfg file, which is located in the "Preset" folder, so it's not linked to a specific livery, but to the airplane base variant, so when using native MSFS 2024 airplanes, there's no need to reconfigure Seated Passengers when adding individual liveries, but only when installing a new airplane or after an airpplane update that would add new base variants.

I did that and still have pink passengers. Any other suggestions?

With "pink passengers", you mean SEATED passengers or even walking passengers ?

Because, if you mean SEATED passengers only, all known suggestions and solution are on the manual, Page 98

Hi,
I’m using GSX for all my aircraft but in the fenix it doesn’t seem to want to give me normal passenger textures as they turn pink when they sit down, i’ve run the live updater and the offline updater many times and checked the config in the installer, i’m not sure if it isn’t recognising the livery but it doesn’t say adding BAW variation when I check the box for pax but it all seems to be in line with the manual, i’m only using official liveries from the fenix app, I will attach how they appear in the livery folder inside the community folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated as they used to work perfectly so I’m not sure what’s changed given everything is up to date.

The solution is that the following is missing FSDT entries from the following CFG file

This will fix the issue. I took the the remining setting from the aircraft that were fine or you can (at your own risk) Cut and paste from Line 4 onwards and added it to the file.
