I always understood that the merger would take over United's color scheme.
no, they just keep the name

That's the problem, both the name and colors need to stay for most of the fleet :D

Good, because United's colors are way better than Continental's!!!
Ahhhh... I really miss Northwest Airlines though. I'm depressed  :'(

I like COA better and United is cool.  I like their scheme at least the older one (grey) on some of their jets.  Like the 747

Wait, I always thought that the merger would take United's color scheme.???
Just like Northwest took Delta's...unfortunately.
You're correct!!! :)

Well - the reason for that is, that Delta bought and took over Northwest completely... therefore all NWA planes will (in time) be repainted to Delta's scheme!
In case of United/Continental; the two companies merged - made an agreement to make a fusion...

Still - I clearly liked United's new livery better than Continental... The merger between those to liveries, is awful in my opinion.
Either they should've kept the United Airlines livery (since they kept the name) - or made a completely new livery...

Just my opinion. :)
Best regards, Anders

I'm actually not a fan of thee gray United plane but the new, white one with the blue/white tail is where I thought United got it perfect.

I couldn't agree more. The blue/white tail looks fantastic.

I liked the delta paint like this:

I am not so sure of the delta paint that looks like this:

I have actually warmed up to the new Delta paint and have grown to love it.  The wavy flag one was cool though!

I actually like the new Delta livery much better than the previous one...
More simple... and the dark blue and white colors stand good together...
Best regards, Anders

I agree, we should of Kept everything Continental including keeping the name Continental.. However because United is known more in the far east is why they kept with the United name..  However I'm glad they kept the Continental colors & Blue tail with the Globe. Maybe on that certain paint job whoever did the paint Job on that certain model plane did not so good of a job.. However have you seen the real plane.. The United is in the same color & Font used as in the Continental lettering..  Thank you Jeff Smisek Continental & now CEO & President of the New United for atleast keeping most of the Continental colors & Globe.. Looks alot better than that awful Grey & Rainbow U on the Tail.. That Blue tail with the Globe looks so much better.. Yea the name may not be Continental anymore but behind everything Continental runs the show..  :)  The good old Continental colors will live on even though we were forced to loose such a good name as Continental all because United was known farther East like China so forth..  However atleast United is in good hands now that Continental really runs the show.. Continental CEO will run it alot better than United's CEO.. Our CEO is in charge of the New United.. The real airplane looks pretty good.. Although being a Continental fan & having loaded & unloaded Continental planes I hate to see the name go but its out of my hands & I'm just greatful they held on to the Continental logo & colors..  Now I'm just trying to make the most out of it & looking forward to flying my Continental planes under a new name & New United with Continental livery colors & having more hubs now to fly in & out of although Houston IAH will still remain my home on FSX just as it was on FS9 & Glad there really keeping IAH as the hub for the new United although now instead of really being the base home, now Chicago will be the official home of the New United as Chicago has always been its home.  They did say that Houston would still be a major hub as well.

Now that change has taken place,I've only have two aircraft with the livery and as such will be the only two. My choice is to have United's 2004 livery which quite frankly is much better. :)

The Font used for the "United" is wrong in these pics. The real font is more like what UAL is using on there most recent pre-merger schemes.
