JFK v2 in P3D v4 **SOLVED**

(1/2) > >>

georgek:
So tonight I purchased v4 and after a few hours I received an email from you guys on some great news!

I went and downloaded the latest installers of JFKv2 and installed it nativity in my P3D v4. Looks AMAZING BUT....looks like some issues in the water.

See screens after installing it on a %100 clean install of P3D v4. (After this I also ran the new FSDT updater and issue stayed)

Looks like some bleeding through of terrain texture over the water.

Thanks gang.

Hello,
exacly the same to me. Also on other FSDT sceneries and also missing buildings. It seems that after installing FSDT sceneries the terrain.cfg is messed up.

Oh no, global warming has finally affected Queens!!!  ;D

I have the same problem, and also a similar problem with Flightbeam's KPHX.

Even though the installer supposedly did a copy of the sceneries from v3 into v4 I then didn't have any buildings for most sceneries. But that was solved by running the scenery installer for that airport.

None of our installers change anything in the terrain.cfg, they never did such invasive thing before, and they are surely not doing it now.

I believe it must be some kind of bug of the default landclass which is called by JFK in that area (the default Marshes/Wetland), which seem to happen in P3D V3 too, so it's interesting nobody noticed it before, maybe if you have a 3rd party product in V3 which is still not available in P3D V4, this might have fixed the problem but, in V4, you are back with the default, bugged landclass.

In any way, you can fix it by removing the LC_2817.BGL file from the JFK scenery folder. We'll test it a bit more and, if it's ok, we'll make it official, so the Live Updater will remove the file automatically on the following runs.
