No buildings in KJFK V2
« on: January 13, 2014, 01:44:40 am »
I've downloaded the trial version of KJFK v2 and there aren't any buildings. Yes, i know it's the trial version but the buildings don't last 6 min. They are not there to begin with. I've tried disabling my firewall since i don't really have an antivirus software installed. I've tried reinstalling the stand-alone addon manager and some times both the add on and coutl are shown and sometimes just the add on manager in the fs menu. I've had times where i have gotten the permission for both the coutl and addon manager and they would both appear in the menu but the scenery isn't there. I would try to restart the coutl and the buildings would appear for just a split second and vanish. As you can see, i've been trying to find the problem for a long time. I'd really like to buy the product. Can you please help?

Please clarify: are you saying you have the Couatl menu when FSX starts, but it disappears after a very short time ?

If yes, try to enable logging in the "Troubleshooting" section of the "GSX Settings" page when the menu is there ( start a default airport, if it disappears when you to to JFK ), exit from FSX, restart it, go to JFK and let it crash.

Then, check if a Couatl.LOG and a Couatl.ERR files have been created in your %APPDATA%\virtuali folder, and post them here.

I'm saying that if i have the coutl menu on fsx, the scenery still doesn't show up. It just shows the textures and gates.

Then you don't have the most current version of the scenery. Download the full installer for JFK V2 ( full installer, not just the update ) and install that one. I've asked about the Couatl menu, because you said:

and sometimes just the add on manager in the fs menu

It wasn't clear if, in this case, if the Couatl menu is STILL visible AFTER the buildings disappear. Please, clarify.

And, in any case, follow my previous suggestion about creating log files, and post both files (or just the Couatl.LOG, if there's no Couatl.ERR) after exiting FSX, after the buildings have disappeared.
