Several problems with Chicago (and JFK)
« on: June 17, 2013, 08:32:51 pm »
HI,
I bought your Chicago o Hare secenry some time back and I do quite like it. However there are some problems I´m unable to fix by now. The first one is an wrong (maybe default) airport building overlapping with the scenery at KORD.

Second all my AI planes (traffic by World of AI) are under the actual terrain (my plane behaves normally though) and do bump up and down from time to time. The exactly same problem is also at JFK, the planes are stuck under the terrain and do not move at all. I´ve checked the AFCAD for duplicates but fo far nothing found.

As explained many times already on the forum, whenever you have double objects from default scenery popping out, it's NEVER a problem of the airport, and it's ALWAYS a problem caused by another AFCAD in conflict.

Use the free FSX Airport scanner program to find duplicates.

If that program doesn't find duplicates, that doesn't mean you don't have any. It only means that either the conflicting AFCAD couldn't be found by that program for some reason OR the conflicting scenery is not an AFCAD, just a generic .BGL.

In both cases, you'll have to search for the offending file manually.

The problem with AI bumping is likely caused by the same issue, if that offending scenery has a slightly different altitude.
