Missing Textures - KJFK V2
« on: May 18, 2013, 02:33:36 pm »
Hi,

Firstly thank you for the great work you are with sceneries and GSX.

I installed the JFK v2 package and appear to have some "black" jet-ways.

I don't have multiple AFCAD's but do have AES installed.

I have attached a screenshot.

Kind regards

Brian

I don't have multiple AFCAD's but do have AES installed.

That's the problem, AES is not compatible with JFK V2 yet, so you must disable it there until it gets updated to support JFK V2.

Of course, you can freely use GSX, and even if you don't own it, it's strongly suggested you install it anyway, in order to get docking systems that are not longer included with the scenery installer, so they come only with GSX.

Hi Umberto,

Thank you for the prompt response.

I will disable AES.

Cheers

The problem is surely not caused by JFK or related to it.

From your description of the problem, it looks like you simply have exhausted your available memory (RAM, VRAM or both), and this is the result of too high settings, too many add-ons in that area, too memory-hungry airplane used, or a combination of all the above. The possible solution are:

- Lower your settings.

- Use a less memory-hungry airplane

- Use Direct X10 (this saves a lot or memory)

- Use less add-ons in that area
