Hi Umberto,

I have just run the latest Stand-Alone Addon Manager for FSX and Vehicle Update dated November 2014 on Win 7 64-bit and FSX. Now I receive the message "Could not find valid AFCAD data at this position, services are not available" for UK2000 EGLL Stand 535, where before this was working properly.

What should I do to rectify?

Cheers, Richard

Try to force a cache rebuild, by removing the following folders:

%PROGRAMDATA%\Virtuali\Couatl
%PROGRAMDATA%\Microsoft\FSX\SceneryIndexes

Then restart and wait for both scenery caches ( FSX and GSX ) to be rebuilt.

Umberto,
Perfect, as usual! And a very quick response.
Many thanks, Richard ;)

Hi i have tried all the above and nothing for the new update and still crashes to the desktop.

And what this has anything to do with this thread ? This thread was about a very specific message named (as the subject says) "Could not find valid AFCAD data at this position", so the solution proposed obviously fixes THAT problem.

You problem is totally different ( FSX crashes to the desktop ) so:

- why you posted here an entirely unrelated issue ?

- why you think the above solution would help you with your entirely different problem ?

If with "FSX crashes to the desktop", you mean that FSX quits with no errors immediately after the splash screen, then your problem has been discussed and answered, with the only one solution, here:
