esellarate fatal error

Hi everyone,

i just re installed FSX along with KLAX. After one successful flight, now whenever start FSX, I get the mesage "esellarate fatal error" and it takes me to the the esellarate home page.


Any solution to this as FSX crashes after this message.

Either you have an old version of Esellerateengine.dll which was installed by another product that use Esellerate OR your antivirus has corrupted it trying to "heal" it, mistakenly identifying it as a threat.

First, check if you have any copies of the Esellerateengine.dll in the following folders:

C:\Windows
\YOURFSXFOLDER (usually C:\program files\Microsoft\etc....)
C:\ProgramData\Esellerate

Remove all copies, then reinstall either KLAX OR the Stand-Alone Addon Manager, that will reinstate only the correct version in the correct folder ( C:\ProgramData\Esellerate)

Hi Umberto,
I cannot find any esellerate files.

I already installed addon manager three times and KLAX from the website but no success.

Should I re install FSX? Actually i did a repair install of FSX so that might be the issue.

I am currently re installing FSX. I will let you know when i have tested it.

The ProgramData folder is normally hidden. To make hidden folders visible ...

• Type 'folder options' in the search bar.
• Click on the Folder Options selection in the list that is shown.
• In the Folder Options window that opens, click on the View tab.
• Find the 'Hidden files and folders' section and select 'Show hidden files, folders, and drives'.
• Click OK to close the window.

You should now be able to see the ProgramData folder and the Essellerate folder within it.

What happened is that my computer faced some serious windows issues so windows is being re installed. Hopefully tomorrow, i will install FSX and report if i have a problem.
