Here's a rendering of the main CYVR terminals. As explained in other threads, this is the best we can do to give an idea of the detail, without having to spend 3 days putting everything together in FSX just to show an FSX screenshot.

Please, don't assume the status of the project by the fact this is just a rendering, and associate with other projects you might have seen, were renderings appeared many months (or years) before release. Our new development method is like this: we'll never see the scenery in FSX until the very last days...

Hi Umberto,

thank you, I was just a bit worried, sometimes there are projects disappearing in Nirvana and I'd really regret this one belonging to them. I think the terminals show you're on a good way and we can expect another great scenery after KLAX which I really enjoy.

Kind Regards, Michael

Youre obviously new here, FSDT sceneries never disappear into Nirvana, even though they seem to take forever to finish.   Grin

Bruce,

I admit I've never seen a FSDT Scenery disappear. And, yes, while I own 3 of them for some time, I am quite new to the forum, indeed.

Anyway, I think FSDT can be lucky as inquiries show they made a proper choice with CYVR. There are enough products (in flight sim land and elsewhere) where the maker has a hard time to find customers caring for their products.  Smiley

Thank you Umberto for this previeuw ... It is true that I never read another threads and I read only " work in progress " when I see an news ... that's the reason for the mismatch !
Now, that's also true, (one bad habit for us)... there is some years, FSDT we used to give out a new airport every 6 months ...  Wink  But yes, the challenge are not the same versus technologie ...( sorry for my english sir )

It takes fsdreamteam longer than some developers, but fsdreamteam is the most fearless developer on the market! They throw them selves on top of the largest hubs in the US, and make them work and look amazing!

They will soon be finished, but needless to say it's a massive job, also do remember that YVR has to fit into the FTX product for that area!

It takes them longer because they do it right, not because they're fearless.  To be fearless would make them super heroes, and I can't picture Umberto running around in skin tight latex.   Cheesy

No that's a sobering image, but you have got to hand it to them, that they start projects, almost all other developers say are too big to be made for fsx!

Just a rendering, ok, but let me say that it is a wonderful rendering showing a future fantastic scenery, for sure.
Many thanks Umberto (and your team) for your great effort.
Bye.

I was just searching this morning to see if anyone had done CYVR.  I'm very pleased that FSDT is working on it.  I bought GSX for my PMDG 737 and didn't know about FSDT or your other products.  I was so impressed with GSX, particularly the continued improvements after the product was released, that I bought all of your airports (I think it's 13 with the Hawaii 2-packs).  For me, it's the gold standard I judge all others by. I also have all of the FTX large airports (and most of the smaller ones), and recently added 4 excellent FlyTampa a/p's and 5 (marginal) Imagesim airports.  I've become an addict.  (I haven't priced out crack but I hope this is cheaper)

As far a progress reports go, when I've felt that I was getting pressed for excessive status reports and meetings while deep into coding I've told management that I can either do the work or talk about the work, but I can't do both at the same time.  I'm looking forward to another top-quality product from FSDT, whenever that is.
