Any possible way to get the correct gate markings at D...

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=kdfw&hl=en&ll=32.898835,-97.043631&spn=0.004392,0.008256&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=64.36916,50.009766&t=h&hq=kdfw&z=18

Don't tell me it can't be done...

It's fairly obvious that everything can be done, but when you choose a solution, there will be always compromises to accept, for example in the fps optimization because, obviously, having a different marking for every parking spot, is way more expensive than reusing some standard variations.

Of course, a scenery that graphics (ground that looks no better than default, flat textures, etc.) like the one you posted in your screenshot, could probably afford this and still have reasonable performances, but it won't work just as well on an FSX scenery that looks like it was made for FSX, like KDFW, and it's even faster than that KMIA, looks way better, and it's a much larger airport too.

I thoroughly enjoy the scenery in the screenshot I posted, and consider it far more realistic than DFW by a "Heavy" margin  Wink

Thanks for your response.

To each its own, that KDFW is one of the best large airport sceneries around, it's a known fact, of coure not *all* users are the same, but we are fairly sure the majority agrees with ut.

FSX scenery design is full of compromises. A scenery can be Fast, Good-looking and Accurate, but not all 3 at the same time. We always prefer the first two, it's our choice and our style.

The myth of "accuracy" is entirely moot, since airports in real world keeps changing which means, since you will never, ever, have the airport 100% the same as the real world counterpart, except maybe when the airport is just released, but the scenery will get old very fast, so we prefer to concentrate on the other two (Fast and Good-Looking).
