<unknown error>
« on: May 27, 2012, 11:45:25 pm »
Hi ,

I was reading the forums trying to find a solution to this problem and I have not found one as of yet.
Below is in my error file:
couatl v2.0 (build 2307)
panic log started on Tue Apr 24 10:58:06 2012
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "couatl\common\fsm.py", line 67, in executeDoFuncToCompletion
File "couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\__init__.py", line 653, in do
File "couatl\common\criticalsection.py", line 23, in _synchronized
File "couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\__init__.py", line 78, in requestVehicles
File "couatl\GSX\__init__.py", line 485, in prepareGate
File "couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\__init__.py", line 839, in setGate
File "couatl\common\criticalsection.py", line 23, in _synchronized
File "couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\baggageTrain.py", line 47, in materialize
File "couatl\GSX\assistanceServices\baggageTrain.py", line 334, in makeTrain
File "couatl\common\train.py", line 39, in __init__
File "couatl\common\modelCustomization.py", line 315, in getModelForCouatlType
common.modelCustomization.NoModelInstalled: No model of type BaggageTractor is currently installed

I'm not sure how this can be when I execute the install file and it updates, it should install this file. I double checked to see if the model bagagatractor was installed and it was.

Any suggestions is appreciated.

OH I noticed I posted this in the wrong forum. Could a moderator please move my topic to the GSX form. Sorry about that.

As requested many times already with this kind of error reports, ALWAYS include ALL the following informations:

- The airplane used

- The airport used. If it's not a default airport, clearly identify the addon scenery used

- The gate used

- The GSX operation that was selected

My Apologies...

- The airplane used
   Default B737-800

- The airport used. If it's not a default airport, clearly identify the addon scenery used
KMEM - Default Scenery KORD - Default  KDFW - Default

- The gate used
KMEM - Heavy Parking Pad   KORD - C18  KDFW -  Heavy Gate (not sure of the number)

- The GSX operation that was selected
   Operation selected was "push back"

Any thoughts? I'm still stumped on this one. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same error.

Doesn't happen here and nobody else reported it. From the error text, it seems you either haven't installed something (maybe you missed a major update), or edited the baggage tractor default file and creating a problem, or edited the GSX.GFG file for the default 737 putting a wrong value for the exits that resulted in GSX not finding any suitable model anymore.

Try to do the following:

- download the current version of the full installer and reinstall GSX using that one

- remove the GSX.CFG file (if you have one) for the default 737-800, located at %APPDATA%\Virtuali\GSX\Airplanes\737-800

Hi,

I have edited nothing. I updated to the latest update and started having this error. I have uninstalled and re-installed as you suggested and still get the same error.

I did notice in the GSX folder under %appdata%\virtuali\GSX\   there is nothing located in this folder, it is empty.

Regards,

I repeat and confirm this doesn't happen.

From the error text, it seems you either haven't installed something (maybe you missed a major update), or edited the baggage tractor default file and creating a problem, or edited the GSX.GFG file for the default 737 putting a wrong value for the exits that resulted in GSX not finding any suitable model anymore.

You must have made some confusion with installations and upgrades, like installing something older over something new, or having refused major updates in the past.

Try download the current version of the full installer and reinstall GSX using that one

I have completed a fresh install of FSX and then GSX...now I can't access the menu in game.

I have used the latest installers from this website as your suggestion and still nothing. I haven't edited any files or moved any files.

I then tried to run the latest addon manager and still nothing.

Any suggestions?

Ok, I goofed. I wasn't running FSX "As Administrator". It is working now.

Well, it's usually not needed, unless your Windows account has limited permissions.
