I am looking forward to this one, and the initial details look terrific. And to add some icing on this cake, FSAddons has just released VancouverPlus version 3 (NOT including the international airport of course). Together with that and FTX's NA PNW, this airport is going to be a blast.

As I've said here:

Only 18 days have passed since that message so, nothing is changed.

only 18 days? As somebody who works in software industry himself, I wish I could respond the same way to my customers and shareholders!

Well, the easiest reply would be that, not having shareholders or being funded in any other way that with sales of previous products, is what allows us to offer the best possible products, and not releasing something unfinished BECAUSE of shareholders we answer to.

And of course, since previous message clearly said that, after the initial phase, a long waiting period with no new screenshot would then start, which could last several months, then yes, 18 days IS a very small waiting time.

Just to put things in perspective, it took almost a year to do KLAX and, after the first Preview screenshoots, it took 4 months just to publish the 2nd Preview.

Gentlemen,
Please, let's not start the FSWhine9'ing again....  Kindly, just let FSDT do what they need to in order to completely satisfy all of your requests/demands in a timely manner.

FYI: I've been waiting for 3+ years for certain releases to be completed, stable, and *fully functional* so a few weeks/months of patience wouldn't hurt any of us; it gives us time to fully enjoy the good things that we already have and, grow-up a little, while learning patience for the things we dream about.

Of course, I don't expect that you'll stay quiet with your opinions but, rather, hope that you temper them with a little maturity and wisdom. Wink

I watched some of Justplanes' Air Canada 77L DVD and the approach and take off from Vancouver was so interesting! Can't wait either!

Check out the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_llyS20J0Ac

I really hope you would consider doing Sydney! The video has a lot of terminal shots, if you buy the DVD you'll get a lot of detail.

Absolutely, Sydney as the next project would perfectly match doing these legs.
Would be amazing to take the PMDG 77L from Vancouver to Sydney and back.

Cheers,

Christian

Agree, a high quality Sydney Airport for FSX is long overdue.

I know that some of Orbx's reasoning for not doing Sydney among the few other large Australian airports that they had not done was that the fps is already quite low and a highly detailed airport would make it unplayable, however I think that FSDT's method for making large airports is different and allows for much greater fps while still keeping top-notch textures and details. The results can be seen for themselves at airports such as KLAX and KDFW.

I would really like to see FSDT do CYYZ  next but YSSY would also be an amazing airport to do as well.  FSDT major hub airports with orbx regions,  you cant go wrong
