Great update, but I have to ask if every gate has to be individually configured or can you do all at once to get rid of the stairs when not needed? Thanx..

Define "stairs not needed"...

If you are parked in the open, they are surely needed. But that's the whole point of having to configured it parking-by-parking: if a scenery has fake/static/non-standard jetways, the only sure way to tell GSX there's a jetway there, it has to be specified it per parking, otherwise no stairs will ever appear, even if the parking spot is *really* an apron.

Making a question each time, other than being tedious, doesn't really fix the problem: how do you how how to reply to that question ? If you are starting from such airport, you see there's a fake jetway there, so you know how to reply, but if you just landed and just cleared the active runway, maybe on an airport you never seen before, you don't really know if that parking has a fake jetway or it's in the open.

This because you can set a parking for GSX usage in any moment, and the moment you select it, GSX will prepare it with all the ground objects, even before you can see it, and it wouldn't be right if the parking was prepared with everything except stairs, only to have them pop up the moment you request boarding or deboarding.

This to fix the problem with fake jetways BUT, if you mean that stairs are not always needed, because the airplane you are flying comes with its own Airstair, so you might not want the stairs even when parked in the open, that's a different thing, and we are planning to include specific support for airplanes with Airstairs in the airplane database.

In THAT case, we could safely ask you if you want airport stairs or not, because your airplane would always able to board/deboard people in any parking, without having to solve the problem that some parking spots are gate with fakes jetways, and others are really out in the apron.
