The more one does the more resentment one seems to be subject to!!!!
I trust this comment isn't aimed at me.  Resentment is a powerful word, totally unfounded and inapppropriate.
My closing comments in my post (in case you missed them)

Keep up the good work ................. oh, and maybe sooner rather than later you can pick up on my "low priority" request.
Hardly words of resentment.

The only way to do this, is removing EDDK from all default GSX vehicles in their own SIM.CFG. Note that they might be overwritten with future updates.

Hi,
I understand that I need the logo to be a DDS, I have the PSD ready, but can't find how to convert it to DDS (even searched google). Any tips?
Thanks,
Tom

Using the Imagetool in the FSX SDK, the Paintkit documentation has a complete example with screenshots how to do this.

Sorry to be a pain, I've installed the paint kit, but can only find the PDF, and not the tools.

As I've said, the Imagetools.exe program that you need to create the .DDS is included with the FSX SDK.

Well, where is the FSX SDK located then?
EDIT - Found the FSX SDK, don't worry, the whole process seems far to complex.
EDIT - Made the .DDS, If you look at the checklist on page nine, I've done it all except the last one. Where is the ICAO file located?
EDIT - Found this too! Just trying to test it but GSX doesn't seem to be working now?
EDIT - I put the ICAO to EGSS, and the aircraft code to UKV, and then loaded a flight with the callsign UKV at EGSS, and just got the default.

In the meantime I've put together an app that via simconnect reads the title entry in aircraft.cfg and tests for a matching string.
If a VA aircraft is loaded into FSX then the logo folders are toggled to read the VA user logo automatically.
When disconnecting from simconnect the app resets the GSX folders as the default.  Smiley

If GSX doesn't work after you added a repaint, you must have made some kind of mistake editing the sim.cfg files. And, after the 1.3 update, the PaintKit has been updated too so, you need to be sure you are using a PaintKit that was downloaded after the 1.3 update was released.

oz10tashus

Would you be prepared to share this?

Sounds good!

The fact we have a paint kit but cant assure a logo will be used is strange.

Hi oz10tashus,

Yes I got the PM thanks. Im a staff member at FlyUK.aero VA and we have had some of our pilots requesting GSX logos so was looking at how we could do this.
As it currently is, GSX is not really VA friendly, which is a shame as normally when we produce these kinds of things it encourages our 600 odd members to go out and buy them!

I couldn't agree more.
If you create a custom logo for your VA you want to be certain that it appears on the ground service vehicles attending that VA aircraft.
I know in the real world that ground servicing is carried out by what's available locally, but we are talking about a fictitous airline here.
