We released the GSX PainKit objects and documentation. It can be downloaded from the GSX Info page or here:

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/gsx_paintkit

The documentation will be found under the FsDreamTeam program group in Windows, or in the fsdreamteam\couatl\GSX folder.

Great, thank you. I will try to learn how to do this and get working on a jetBlue one (and any others I feel are missing)!

Thanks Smiley I'm looking forward to all the great work the community will undoubtedly be doing with this. One question though, I had a look through the paint kit documentation and it looks like at the moment you can only add a new logo. In future would it be possible to also repaint some of the other textures? For example most of KLM's ground equipment is blue with a white logo, so I though I'd try my hand at repainting it (since in GSX it's currently white with a blue logo), but it seems I can only change or add a new logo and not paint the rest of the vehicle.

We might just add pre-made vehicle variations in different solid colors so, in case of KLM, you would just reference an already made blue vehicle textures and add your own logo in white.

Most of the vehicles textures are generated automatically, so it would be fairly hard to repaint them manually.

Funny, same thing i was trying to do Cheesy

For the catering truck:

Paint a copy of the 'gsx_catering_2.dds' all blue except the colored squares in the left lower corner and then put it in: SimObjects/Misc/FSDT_catering_half/texture.KLM

Voila, that should do it for the catering truck (the blue logo is ok there)

Yes, that would work, and the catering truck is one of the few vehicles which is fairly easy to repaint manually, since its texture *was* created by a human...

Sounds interesting Smiley

Small thing i noticed, the driver's head seems to be missing a texture.

Umberto, maybe you should create a sticky tread where people can share repaints? Smiley

We will add a dedicated GSX sharing section to the forum, with repaints, airport customizations and airplane configurations.

It might be better opening it after we finish the parking editor entirely (to allow graphical placement of vehicle starting positions) and add the airplane editor too.

I'd like to create a ground services fleet for a virtual airline.......say XYZ
I'm not clear on how (if possible) to get the XYZ service vehicles to handle this airline at all airports.
Would this work:
couatl.icaoprefixes = ?
couatl.atc_parking_codes = XYZ

ine at all airports.

That would give that airline an automatic 4 points score at every airport but, if there's another airline that has a full 4 letter code AND a matching parking code in the AFCAD, for example a parking spot with a United (UAL) code at KDEN, your XYZ airline will always "lose" against it, unless you also add the XYZ code to that parking, in that case it's a tie, so the one to be used will be chosen at random.

Thanks for the quick response Umberto, that clears it up for me and confirms what I suspected.
Thanks for the added value that GSX has given my fsim activities ........... great product.
