I had the opportunity to test it early on because I was doing some HUD upgrades for the B and C models. Here is a video of the F-35B:

'neutrino': Thanks. I thought you were going to do a mini SRVL into the hangar!  Grin It all looks like a lot of fun. Any chance you can make a video of a VL on an LHA please. Is there a USS Wasp out there? Thanks. The F-35 family should be a big hit in FSX Accel.

Thanks Letourn, however I'm not testing the F-35B. I'll have to wait until it is released.

Letourn,

Thank you for sharing the Turbosquid link on this forum. I am hoping to find a review from anyone who has purchased a $590 ship model and adding it to FSX.

Yes that would be nice to see but a lot of work to do.

I also found THE BOXER that come with the aerosoft sea-jayhawk

http://en.shop.aerosoft.com/eshop.php?action=article_detail&s_supplier_aid=10289

But from what i could read on other forum you cannot use it with AIcarriers and its a static model. You can place it everywhere in the world with the utility that come with it.

So I am not sure if its worth buying it.

There will also have some spanish and italian carriers that will be available when new AV8B are release

You may be interested to know that HMS Ark Royal is avialable for FSX at http://flyingstations.com/ark-royal.html  But, one snag, it does not have an ILs although it does work with AICarriers.

F-35 Cleared to taxi and hold short... 12 July 2012

http://indiafoxtecho.blogspot.com.au/2012/07/f-35-cleared-to-taxi-and-hold-short.html

"Just a quick note to announce that the F-35 is *almost* ready. That is, I have a build that should be good enough for distribution. There are still some bugs here and there, and I was not able to fix all the issues that were highlighted during the Beta tests. Still, I believe the build is good enough, considering the complexity of the project and the fact that, well, I could continue trying to fix minor issues forever....at a certain point it is better to stop, provided that the quality level is acceptable.

After a thoughtful consideration the project will be payware - but I believe the price will be definitely acceptable for most users. Final price has not been decided but it will be close to the previous F-35, possibly with discounts for previous customers (if technically feasible).

I am, and will be and I still consider myself, a freeware developer - this is just a hobby for me and I do not want greed to be part of my hobbies... nor I envision this activity will ever replace my real life job, nor I'd like to become a regular businness. But the F-35 project has been extemely expensive by my standards, and, frankly, I'd like to limit my loss (which is in the area of few thousands euros...mostly spent on acquiring the high-definition meshes I've used as starting point in the modeling).

Anyway, it is almost ready. Almost. I still need to complete the manual, pack the files etc. etc.... I believe that will require another week or two. I hope you will have fun with the Lightning II."

"Forgot to say that if you'd like to see the list of changes/fixes, I've updated the Beta 2 tracking post below..."

F-35 Manual Draft 1 for download 20 July 2012

http://indiafoxtecho.blogspot.com.au/2012/07/f-35-manual-draft-1-for-download.html

"Above are few screenshots of the final models for the F-35 A, B and C, and here is a download link to the draft version of the manual. It is just a 25 pages document, but it should be good enough to provide the information the average user may need to enjoy this F-35 rendition. As the package will not be freeware, I have included an honest and, as far as I can, unbiased list of the major shortcomings of the package in a section of the manual - along with what I believe will be the FAQ. I honestly believe it is the most realstic rendition of the F-35 so far in any recreational enviromnent - but is definitely far from the incredible realism of other commercial packages...."

More text and DOWNLOAD LINK for the 5Mb PDF manual at the URL above.  Found that FireFox was best to use for download rather than IE9 on Windows 7. Others may have a different experience however.

F-35 Project - Updated to version 2.02 and clean textures for repainters

I [Dino] have just uploaded a small update to the F-35 project to SimMarket - it should be available in few hours. It is a full install, 126Mb - as far as I understand, previous customers will be notified by email, while new customers will get directly the new installer.

Version 2.02 August 8th 2012"

Version 2.02
August 8th 2012 – CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS VERSION:

Added clean configuration to F-35C. This was left out from initial release due to poor quality of the modeling, but has been added due to popular request. We apologize for the lower quality of the model, which we do not consider up to part with the rest of the package.

Fixed typo in VMFAT-501 texture set

Changed landing gear strut textures

Added AF-6, BK-1 and CF-1 texture sets

Fixed minor bug on -C aircraft configuration that made the JDAM-only model unavailable to the user
