KLAX 1.3 Update released

We released KLAX version 1.3 today, here's the list of fixes:

• AFCAD improved, with fixes to jetways problems at some parkings
• West remote parkings added
• LOD visibility range improved for objects like 3d approach lights

The full installer will be updated very shortly, if your full installer already reads 1.3 when it starts, you don't need to apply the patch.

Is the update for both versions?

Have FS9 V1.2 & FSX V1.1.

Do I have to remove via ADD/Remove or just install, would it be beter to wait until the full installer is out.

By the way KLAX is a fantastic scenery, compliments all the other FSDT airports I have.

Since we are in the FSX section, this update is for the FSX version. In the FS9 section, you'll find a similar update for FS9.

This download it's a patch, it will work only if KLAX is already installed.

Question for both FS9 & X.

Afcad AF_2KLAX5.bgl not changed in FS9.

In FS9 version was in KLAX_AP.bak file (dated 24 October)

And in FSX was it a.bgl file, both now bgl's and dated 27 December.

What does this file do and why was it a bak in FS9.

Your message is not very clear. However, there's no .bak file included anywhere in the installer, it's something you have on your system, probably because you modified the AFCAD with some editor, and it did a backup.

We distribute only ONE AFCAD with KLAX, both versions are named KLAX_AP.BGL, both are dated Dec. 27th (after installing the upgrade), every other AFCAD you might have in the KLAX, it's not something we installed.

You are right, forgot I downloaded an Afcad for FS9 from Newmanix, now installed ADE for FS9 and am beginning to learn the basics so I can do minor alterations on the gates.

I just installed or so i think i did the update but Programs and Features window is showing 1.2.1 version. any ideas?

Patch won't update the version number, you need to full installer, which is 1.3.

Hey, just so I'm clear: I have FSX LAX 1.1 installed, but I don't see an update to 1.2, just straight to 1.3. Did I miss 1.2 and need to install it? Tried searching the forum, couldn't find my answer or anything mentioning a 1.2 update, sorry if I missed it.

First of all here are my specs windwos 7 64 but 580 gtx fsx on its own drive 6 gb 980x 4.4ghz.  I have the original installer when I bought the product 9/2511 on the desktop and tired to update the patch but it still says 1.1.00 not 1.3 I have norton and shut that down comploetely down my antivirus also tried as administrator still no luck even did a reboot still no luck.  I first downloaded the patch and saved it on my desktop and after that I ran it but the orgininal installer shows 1.1.00 and even shut windows firewall down as well, these are thngs are normallly do when I download stuff like this.

So, what is my problem ? why don't I get the right version ?

You have made a list of your specs and your software but, it's not even clear what your problem is.

In any case, Norton is probably the biggest offender regarding problems and false positives, be absolutely sure you DISABLE IT ENTIRELY when *downloading* AND *installing* and be absolutely sure you have excluded the following files from scanning:

YourFSXFolder\bglmanx.dll
YourFSXfolder\fsdreamteam\couatl\Couatl.exe

BEFORE turning it back on.

Also, try to download the full KLAX installer again, and try that one (installing it as explained above) and also try the Stand-Alone Addon Manager installer (the link is on the "Products" page), installing it AFTER KLAX and with the antivirus configureed as explained above.

thanks so much for the advise for some reason it did  not go in the first time, so what I did followed your instructions which a lot of it was done previously, but anyway uninstalled both klax and addon manaager, and reinstalled, now I have with the new installer 1.3 along with the addon magager on the top of the menue bar.  thanks so much for this great product, cause I also have jfk, KFLL, and KDFW, all super but lax is something else, man oh man.    thanks Ronny
