Going to be a long summer if you can hardly wait, they just started.

How long does it normally take FSDT to do an airport?

It depends on the size of the airport and how fast they work.

Yep with dfw and klax they took a bit longer due to the fact there were trying out new stuff like the new ground work with shader's etc etc and they were huge airports.

I ha to pause at that last shot. Even with the absence of any buildings whatsoever, these are the best ground textures for FSX, or any sim for that matter, anywhere. This will be the best scenery for FS ever, although I wonder how they will top KLAX, as they stated in the "Nice Place We Have Here" post. It seems unreal that it has started, it has started this soon and that it REALLY is happening. This will be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Grin Smiley

Given the time it took to make LAX, probably a year.

Most of their airports average 9 months, but they've obviously been working on Vancouver behind the scenes for a while.  Might possibly see it by July.

Not to mention that when GSX is complete and any updates Umberto wants done, there will be another airport announcement for 2012...

Look amazing already! Can not wait Grin

I have a couple of questions, is the entire Sea Island covered in PR textures and what about FTX compatibility?

Yes, we'll model the whole island, with a very precise elevation mesh.
