Hi all, anyone having a performance hit in Prepar3D with FSDT scenery. FSX gives me about 20fps around KLAX with the SB2600K and all the slides maxed out day or night and UT2/UT/REX/GEX installed. However with Prepar3D in day I get 7fps but jumps to 22fps at night with the said add-ons. (using stock Mooney aircraft)
I like Prepar3d for the major stability improvement running in full screen mode and 3 X monitors, also the night lighting is simply stunning. I've noticed no other major improvements between the two SIMS however I did have FSX tweaked well. For me FSX was great but would crash mid-flight on a long haul. I'm of the belief that most of today’s FSX tweaks are already incorporated into Prepar3D (ie HIGHMEMFIX) so I'm not aware of any that will help yet.
thanks IM

Regarding my last post, after doing some reading over at the Avsim forum it maybe a multi screen issue and Prepar3D.
It appears the problem is FPS halve when using multi screen (3) with Prepar3D. I had no major impact with FSX and multi screen. This is only in high graphic areas like on the RWY at LAX (FSDT) and UT2 AI at the gates using PrePar3D.

Hi there, sorry to drag up an old post but I didn't want to clutter the forum up.. Your P3D support is GREAT! Thank you. Will you be updating all of the Hawaiian stuff to work in P3D 1.3? I have recently purchased a whole heap of FSDT stuff and am using KLAX and KJFK really well, and loving my GSX in P3D, too. I'd really like to get all of the Hawaiian stuff working. Many thanks jake

Current version of the GSX and KLAX installers are already compatible with P3D 1.3. All the other installers will be updated shortly.

With regard to our installers, everything has been updated for the current version of Prepar3D since a few weeks already.

Hello Umberto,
I downloaded the KLAX scenery, giving in your first post in this thread. I've both FSX and Prepar3D installed in different locations on the same computer. When I run the installer, it tells me, that the software requires Prepar3D 1.2.32.53 or 1.3.3708 to be installed. My installed Prepar3D version is however 4.4.4747.0. When I click OK to install the software, I don't get a menu or something like that and KLAX is installed in FSX.
Could you help me on this? Thanks in advance.
Henk

When I run the installer, it tells me, that the software requires Prepar3D 1.2.32.53 or 1.3.3708 to be installed. My installed Prepar3D version is however 1.4.4747.0. When I click OK to install the software, I don't get a menu or something like that and KLAX is installed in FSX. You are not using the version which is currently online now, you are probably launching some older installer you downloaded earlier. The current version of the installer doesn't support P3D 1.2 anymore, and it works only with version 1.3 and 1.4 so, if you are seeing the message about requiring P3D 1.2 or 1.3, you are not installing the version of the installer we have online now. Try to clear your browser cache, refresh the page and download again. The installer should have a file creation date of August 27th.

You were right. Thanks for the help. KLAX works now. Great job! Now I wil download all other FSDT airports.
Perhaps you can give me some general advice about other ( not FSDT) add-ons. If I install the FSX-P3D migration tool, I understand that the best thing to do is: First install all FSDT add-ons and then use your prepar3d.bat file to run P3d in virtual mode without problems. I downloaded some Aerosoft add-ons for P3D, which I can install (without needing the migration program). Should those official P3D add-ons also run with your p3d.bat file?
Thanks for an answer Henk

I'm about to make the big jump from FS9 to P3D (never used FSX). Are my FSDT scenery licenses good for P3D too? I assume that they are since I know they apply to FSX, but thought I would ask anyway. Do I just reinstalling from the website and will the installer recognize my purchase license?
