openal32.dll is missing

When I install the software (v1.0), I receive the message 'The program can't start because openal32.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.'
What is this caused by, and how do I fix it?

Why you want to reinstall the 1.0 ? The current version is 1.2.1, download and install that one.
