Nice work so far, Mr. "simbio" & team! Cool

I know this is still WIP and as such my only "concern" is the 2D trees/brushes (green plants) which look a little too "low-res" for my taste.  But, I'm wondering if this is the effect of the bloom or low graphic settings in FSX? Huh  Not sure which, but it seemed like these trees are less "quality" than PHNL's or other previous FSDT work.  Guess I'm being spoiled by other third-party stuff as well. Kiss

Keep up the good work, as I look forward to many more improvements. Grin

I thought the same thing at first but after a closer look at several shots you will see that it's his FS settings are set to very low. Every thing looks low res at a distance including the FS9 Livery MD-80 in pic7 (FS9??) on closer shots the trees look somewhat better. I am highly looking forward to this release! I plan to get it on the day it gets AES!!  Cheesy

Do all FSDT sceneries include the terminal interior? Because if they do I need to know the easiest way to get in! (I have PHNL, KFLL, and Hawaiian Airports Vol. 1)

Hello only some parts of the terminals have in interiors in some scenery's you can use active camera for fs2004/FS9 http://www.anticyclone.be/Active_Camera/Home.html its a payware program. for fsx you can use orbx bob http://fullterrain.com/freeware.html which is free or the payware EZdok Camera only for fsx. http://www.flight1.com/products.asp?product=ezdockcam other ways is to move around with the Cessna in slew mode.

No just Zurich and Hilo so far that I am aware of. If you are a big fan of that like me try out the Overland airports and Eiresim Cork.

I'm on vacation in Maui right now - and I was able to get some pics of the new green terminal (actually they have only painted part of it at the ASA gates so far). I can upload the pics if you want.

I went to the airport and found a great spotting location (hey it was 93 degrees and my eyes hurt from excessive salt water exposure Cheesy). I was able to see the whole terminal and where the planes taxi and takeoff from runway 02. I only got to see a buisness jet land before airport security came and told me that "we don't want people hanging around". Times have really changed I guess  Embarrassed

I asked if there was a public place I could spot and the sercurit guy said no. So I drove to the other side of the airport (right by the VOR actually) and watched all the mainland outbound heavies roar over. I couldn't see the airport though so I just had to sit there with my camera on and wait. I got some great footage though  Smiley

I can't wait for the release! I flew an ASA 738 here and I'm going to fly the HAL 763/W back.

I shot some really good HD footage of the approach and landing. There is a saying that when it isn't really windy in Kahului....it is really breezy. And you can really feel that on the approach. Very bumpy! Another interesting thing about the approach (for mainland inbounders) the aircraft fly parallel to the airport (usually always runway 02) and than make a sharp 180 turn onto final when they reach the western coast.

BTW - I have been here for almost two weeks and only just found out how correctly pronounce 'Kahului'.

Kah-huh-lou-eee.  Grin

We'll do something better, thanks to our Python scripting abilities:

If you start a flight with the FSX date set before August 1st 2011, the terminal will have the old brown color, otherwise, it will be in the new green paint.

That's a great idea Umberto its perfect users that want the old look can just set the date back very cool.
