Texture Bleeding and Runway 04 flickering Solved!
« on: January 20, 2011, 08:40:39 am »
I noticed that the majority of the time landing at night at PHNL on 04R the following would occur. Near the end of the runway the textures would start flickering, and turning different colors such as red. Maybe this is what the other guy was talking about with bleeding?

I think you were maybe not able to reproduce this symptom because your using FS Genesis? I use FS Global 2010 and was able to make this problem disappear by putting the Mesh Resolution to 100. This is what I use now and works well for FSDT and other complex Airports, which keep the Frame rates to acceptable levels.

The texture bleeding in FSX has been fixed a while ago, with the .BGL posted here:

Which is also included in the current installer. In any case, yes, Mesh Resolution should probably be always set to 100, it's not really an fps-heavy option so, it can be left there without too much problems.
