FSDT always has offered two versions (FS9/FSX) for every single Aiport scenery up to now. Why should this be different this time? There is no AES support for the cloud9 version, so every new version is welcome because it's likely to be equipped with AES...

This time is different because, we are using even more FSX-only features (like 4096x4096 textures and 2048x2048 detail textures), that we can't do the scenery in FS9 without lowering the resolution compared to the other FS9 sceneries we made so far.

As we already explained, we don't know how this will be noticeable, without trying first. We will surely try, but we can't guarantee the end result right now, because we don't know yet. We will know when the FSX scenery is finished. The general idea is that, if it's visually worse than the 4-years old Cloud9 version, it might not be worth releasing it.

In the Screenshot forum, there's a sticky post named "Screenshot posting rules", that explains it.

I agree with that. LAX was the very first airport in the world to have such a tunnel going under an airport... Hope it's possible!  And the 105/405 interchange too. The hill just above dockwieler beach should be added as well as it is not possible to see the ocean from LAX unless you are at the top of the control tower. In FS you can see the beach... :) And if you are on the beach, you cant see the airport...

Obviously not in FS2004 version. See an example with DFW

Like a traffic tunnel you can actually drive a car through?  Would be sweet, but asking a lot.

Virtuali, is it at all possible to use the "filled-in-grass" technique?

We firmly believe in putting details only where you are supposed to see them.

Not because we can't create filled grass, but because we think it's better to increase detail in an area you constantly look at when taxiing (concrete/asphalt), and decrease it in an area that you are not supposed to be, like in the grass.

That's the general concept. For KLAX in particular, having overgrown green grass is not very realistic, since the terrain outside taxiways is very dry and mainly dirt, with spare small bushes, like this:
