It looks like I am joining the ranks of those who will just wait for the new platform, and enjoy my FS9 with my thousands of upgrades/addons. I will miss the new FSDreamteam addons, if it comes to that.  Cry

Thats ridiculous. I hate how people are so dedicated to FS9, what if flight is worse than FSX? Then what will you do? Your going to ahve to change over at some point, most of the developers are putting FSX first now, why, because FSX is gradually taking FS9s place. FSX, now with todays hardware is very easy to run with good settings. The bias that people have to one product or another is just ridiculous. Make a change people, the world does not stay the same, it changes.

Will you be including the new terminal?

Or will the scenery just include that one taxiway from the north to south complex, with construction looks?

Thanks.

I hope you'll find a solution for FS2004 - there is still a huge market for FS2004 large IFR commercial airports. And finally, with MF announced, I personally don't see any benefits over the costs (both monetary and labor-related) of switching to FSX with the new platform coming in next 24 months.

Unfortunately, your incorrect. The FS9 market is dieing at an accelerated rate due to more and more excellent options in FSX. PMDG and many other developers have made the switch to one platform. I don't think you have ever developed scenery before, as you seem to think that porting an FSX developed scenery into FS9 is an evening job. Its actually an extremely long process that involves almost as many hours as it took to develop the scenery. Its not just resizing textures; its fixing minor problems that are present when working with two completely independent sims.

FSX is not the evil entity that many people make it out to be. It doesn't have more problems, they're just different. It wouldn't kill you to try FSX, and no, the un pached demo does not count.

I wouldn't hang my hat on Microsoft Flight my friend. A different team is developing it and it will likely be completely different than the ACES products.

PS. Well, if FS2004 tex-res for new KLAX will be the same quality as FS2004 DFW has, I will be more than happy.

+1

I 100 % agree. If you can make LAX like the DTW that will fine.. We fs9 user don't demand so much  Wink

Wonderful news that finally a version of KLAX for FSX is being made. And if FPS is increasing by using higher resolution textures, this seems like a winner already. Looking forward to the release.  Smiley

Please include AES support for this airport (that's the icing on the cake).

We can't, please re-read this explanation:

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=3601.msg31799#msg31799

So, it's either KLAX in 4x less resolution, or it's not KLAX at all.

As I've said, we simply can't decide now, without looking how it will look like at reduced resolution in FS9. If it will look decent (let's say, not worse than the Cloud9 version, but with the upgraded airport), we'll release it.
