Esellerate is having problems with some of their activation servers today. Which means it's possible that when you try to activate a product, it will result in a failure, even if the serial number was inserted correctly.

We contacted Esellerate and they have confirmed the problem and they are working on it, and at a certain point the activation will work normally, just have a bit of patience, I understand this might be unsettling for new users that doesn't know FSDT and did their first purchase, but other than apologize for something that is entirely out of our control, and assuring it will be fixed giving it a bit of time, there's not much we can do, other then keep pressing on Esellerate for a fix, which we are doing right now.

Sorry again for the problem, I can only assure your orders WILL all be activated.

We've got word from several users the activation is now working so, if you had a problem yesterday, it should probably work now.

Yesterday and the day before I also experienced problems to register my serial key.

Are there still problems?

Regards,
Johan.

No, all servers are working normally and nobody else reported a problem.

All servers are working normally and nobody else reported a problem, the one discussed here was really an exceptional case, it happened only once in 6 years.

What error, exactly, are you getting ? If you are getting the -25001 "Serial not found" error, it simply means you typed it wrong.

If, instead, if you are seeing an error like "This doesn't seem to be the correct serial for xxxx", it means you inserted something entirely different instead of the serial number, such as the order number or the sku. You must insert the SERIAL Number.

This doesn't have anything to do with the servers being offline: this thread is really obsolete, since they were offline for a day in February, and it hasn't happened again.

That "Machine Mismatch" message means you have changed some hardware components or did something that was identified as a new hardware, such as flashing the mainboard bios. It's not an error, it's a request to confirm your activation, so you simply need to confirm it the activation when asked, and it will work.

As I've said, this doesn't have anything to do with this thread, which is discussing the Esellerate's ACTIVATION servers which have been offline for 1 day in February.

That message you are seeing doesn't have anything to do with the activation, and it's related to the online update server, which is run by us instead.

We run on two mirrors at the same time, both are online and, even in the unlikely case one will be down, the mirror will supply the file automatically, and it's really unlikely they would be both offline at the same time. In any case, nobody else has reported a problem so far.

This means, the likely cause for your message (assuming your internet connection is working) is that you have a firewall installed in your system which is blocking online access to the installer, and you'll probably have to configure it to allow the installer to access the internet.

And of course, as the message you posted says, you have the option to install local files instead, which is the copy of the files included in the installer, and if you downloaded the Stand-Alone Addon Manager now, they are exactly the same so, using the local files instead of the online ones won't make any difference when installing the Stand-Alone Addon Manager, but you would probably want to fix your firewall anyway, in case you run other installers, which might not be as updated as the Stand-Alone Addon Manager (which, instead, is always kept in sync with the online copy of the files)
