For our next airport scenery after KDFW, we would like to hear your voice, so we are running a poll over a list of airports we are considering. The poll will run for 2 weeks.

* The asterisk on KLAX means, it will be a complete redesign from scratch, using the latest techniques, and will not have anything in common with the Cloud9 version. This means it will be a new purchase for existing Cloud9 KLAX owners, there will be no upgrade or discount option. Please keep this in mind when voting.

We can't offer a 100% guarantee the airport that wins the poll will be the first one to be made, but we'll put serious consideration on it. However, it depends how many votes we get, the more people will vote, the more we can consider the poll to be reliable.

EDIT
We have 2 Polls running, the other one HERE has additional options: you are allowed to cast 1 vote in each poll.

Is there supposed to be a poll on this thread?  I don't see it.

Edit:
Nevermind, voted Miami.

I did see the poll until I logged in. Now I can't see it anymore.

Thus, with my memory being a bit vague of the list that I saw briefly, here's my vote, which goes towards white spots:

1. KIAH - Because there's nothing decent out there
2. KMIA - FlyTampa's quality is good enough for me, but the airport just looks completely different these days, it therefore is like a white spot on the map

I could live with some of the others (such as KLAX) but would not say that they're really covering white spots (either there is something good enough and improving that vs. having something covering a white spot I'd prefer the latter).

However, I would NOT buy these two that you mentioned:

EDDF - why? The Aerosoft one is good and German Airports team will make it their pride to keep that airport always up to date in terms of quality and representing the current state of the airport
KDEN - why? Is the imaginesim so out of date?

Since you did suggest EDDF and since you did do some European airports in the past - I *LOVE* you for Zurich and Geneva! - why not do Milan MXP/LIN or Rome. Nothing's been done since the days of ISD. And then there is a suggestion that is a bit "out of competition" but would fit your logic: Lugano. Cute little airport with hair-raising approaches. Aerosoft did Lukla/Dutch Harbor/Innsbruck, FlyTampa did St. Maarten/St. Barth/Saba/Kai Tak, LatinVFD did or will do Sucre/Cuzco/Tegucigalpa/La Paz, Tropicalsim has done Rio de Janeiro SDU, you guys do Lugano, and then I'll bribe someone in Asia to do Paro. Like that each one of the developers has made the "flaghsip" hub airports and also made a contribution to the "small but difficult interesting and difficult to fly to" airports. Just a thought

I usually do not participate a lot in these "please do this or that airport" especially if the requests are for boring (in terms of airline diversity and/or aviation challenge) non-hub airports somewhere in provincial USA.

But since you asked the question I gave my two cents...

OK, saw the poll now. Voted accordingly for IAH

BTW, what are you doing to ensure people don't vote multiple times? Maybe there is some Arizona FS fan club that will spend the next two weeks asking all its members to spend four hours each day pressing the KPHX button ad nauseam?

KDEN - why? Is the imaginesim so out of date?

Yes...it was made for FS 2002 and 2004....so yes...it is out of date.  An FSX version would be nice.

Thanks FSDT for letting us vote! Smiley
Was hoping, that KBWI (Baltimore Intl) would be an option, but otherwise very hard choices Smiley

Voted for KMIA!

PEOPLE!!!!!! Please be smart about this. Please do not show any favirotism to who does what airport. Like for ex, KPHL is being done by Sun Sky Jet, yes its not FSDT, but it will be done for both FSX and FS9, and it will be very good quality. But PLEASEEEEEEE vote wisely.

I persoanlly voted for PHX. I live 3 hours from there and would be willing to drive up there one day and get pictures if needed. Wink

Taking everything into consideration, I think we should concentrate on those airports that do not currently have any scenery upgrades.

KPHL - I was amazed nothing extisted for this
KPHX - yet again, there is nothing out there
KIAH - a major airport, previously produced by SimFlyer but no longer available

All the other airports, be it some are several years old, are still 100% better than the original FS model, so why continue to constantly produce the same airports over and over again.

Yeah these are some tough choices.

While I would love to see KSEA, I wont waste a vote on it since ORBX stated that they are going to be doing it and there probably isn't a need for two.

Same could be said for KPHL even though it wont be FSDT quality.

I wouldn't mind seeing a better FPS version of EDDF though.

Then again the western part of the US is seriously lacking in good airports. The FSX default KLAX isn't too bad, however being from Arizona I would love to see KPHX, although I love KMIA as well and have no interest in Toronto.

I think I will narrow my choice to between KPHX, KIAH, KDEN, KLAX or KMIA.

Is there a way to see the voting results before we vote? I would hate to waste a vote on an airport no one else is voting on when I could use it on another one that I like.
