It was stated months ago that a target release was set for July, and we're now nearing late September with very little news.  I know this is being developed by a different team than KDFW was, so that shouldn't have been a factor.  Are we getting close, or has this been delayed to focus on LAX?

It hasn't been delayed because of KLAX since it's being made by a different team than the one that made KDFW and is now working on KLAX.

It's progressing normally, it shouldn't take very long now, and will be released when it's ready.

How about a Boeing 737 or CRJ 700 for Island hopping Smiley

The idea in island hopping is to enjoy the scenery, helicopters are best for that.  Wink

Well that is a matter of opinion.  Helicopters take too much thought to fly for me.  I'd pick a nice small single engine prop personally.  Much more natural to fly so that I can focus on the scenery.

What is natural about zooming down a strip of asphalt to become airborn, or using that same strip to stop after you land?  Helicopters fly more like the way a bird flies.

And besides, runways are for fashion models.   Grin

I have it for FS9 but I think FSX is included. That's why I posted the link. To see for yourself.  Wink

And Bruce, I love the helicopters. I have many in my collection. But I would never fly between the Hawaiian islands in one. Just too damn slow for that. Now flying between in my King Air is different. Slow enough to enjoy the scenery, but fast enough to feel like you are actually moving.
