When installing the 2.0 update, I get an error that says it was denied access to copy over controls_.pyd. I am running the update as admin on Windows Vista. Should I Ignore and continue, or am I doing something wrong? Your FSX hasn't probably closed cleanly so, it denied access to opened files, a Windows reboot should fix it, but you need to run the new installer again, to complete it cleanly. Thanks, that fixed it!

Cannot download the update! I have did the following:
- Clear your browser cache
- Remove all cookies from mediafire.com
- Restart the browser and try again
Others apparently have the same issue. Can you guys use someone else, this is ridiculolus.

Hi all
I realise that this will probably not help much, but I did manage to eventually download the update, and I believe that Umberto has been or will be shortly in contact with Mediafire regarding the downloading issues that some of us have been experiencing.

Yes, Mediafire had a network maintenance yesterday, and it took more than they expected, but everything should be ok now.

I only have IE8 for a browser and will not d/l another browser just to get his update. It needs to be fixed on their end. With IE8 it says you need to log in.

I've just checked with IE8 under Win7 now, and can only confirm all 3 KDFW links (FSX full, FSX update, FS9 full) work just fine.

Just tried the link posted in the DFW FS9 forum and it worked. When clicking on the link in the first post of this thread ( http://www.mediafire.com/?31171ekbpx1s70f ) I cannot open it.

I really don't know what to say, the FSX update link posted in this forum just works, both from the original forum posting, and from the link you just reposted in your message. Tried with IE8 and Chrome on Windows 7 and Safari and Firefox on a Mac, they all work. Maybe it's an issue with your ISP DNS: try to use the Open DNS instead: http://www.opendns.com/There's no need to setup any account: just put their IPs 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 as your preferred DNS, either in your router, on on your network settings.
