This includes most of the fixes already posted in the forum, in a single installer. Use it over an existing KDFW 1.0, 1.0.2, 1.0.3, 1.0.4 or 1.0.5 installation.

If your KDFW full installer already reads 2.0, you don't need to apply this update.

Download the Update HERE

1.0.3 Addition
This version increases the LOD loading range for taxilines.

1.0.4 Addition
Fixes a misplaced Glideslope on RWY18R

1.0.5 Addition
Fixes a problem with landing lights on some areas.

2.0.0 Addition

Big update:

- RWSL lights, including FAROS (Flashing PAPI), RHLs and THLs lights, see this post here for more details:

http://www.fsdreamteam.com/forum/index.php?topic=3535.0

In the update, there's a file named KDFW_manual_add.pdf, which includes the added pages, that explains the RWSL function, with maps.

- Ground scenery coded in order not to be dependent on Simconnect, this should fix the issue of the scenery showing flickering due to other 3rd party products that saturate the Simconnect communication pipe with commands. The ground scenery quality hasn't been modified at all, and it still fully FSX and DX10 compatibile, and uses Shaders.

- Some minor fixes at several places, like small gaps in elevation that would result in some airplanes bumping on ground.

Works perfectly, I've even downloaded the whole file before posting.

Try the following:

- Clear your browser cache

- Remove all cookies from mediafire.com

- Restart the browser and try again

BTW, what fixes were you refering to? I dont remember seeing any fixes in the FSX forum.

The upgraded AFCAD is right on top of this forum, the issue of the airplane crashing on the taxiway bridges (which required changing lot of files) and there were 4 docking system with wrong coordinates, which nobody found, but we did...ok, I should have written "fixes already posted on the forum, and fixes for other issues that weren't posted as separate fixes"

Quote
Will anything in the update deal with the ground texture problems I/some of us have had?

Your specific problem (scenery that goes ok if there are no 3rd party modules loaded), has been reported only by you, and this update doesn't deal with it, and I doubt we'll ever be able to fix it, since we rely on Simconnect and, if it's not working because something else is clobbering it, there's not much we can do. We MIGHT have an alternate solution, but it will need some time, can't be made as a quick fix.

Then, there's the flickering using Top-down view or DBS walk and follow, and this is simply not fixable, it's an unavoidable side effect of how the scenery is made.

Then, there's the bleeding caused by *other* sceneries, and this will have to be dealt with on a case by case basis, because is not always possible to solve it from our side, because the interferring scenery can be a mesh, a regular .bgl or an afcad, and each one requires a different solution.

Yes, as of today, everything we posted so far is included in 1.0.5 update, and the full installer is updated too to 1.0.5

Hi

I have previously downloaded all the updates from the previous links given, but for some reason I keep getting a HTTP 403 Forbidden error when I try to download the V2.0 update, I have tried clearing my browsers history, cache and cookies then restarting the browser, yet I still get a 403 error.

I can get on to the Mediafire site using just the home address, I realise that other must have successfully used the above link for the V2.0 update, but I am just unable to get the update files using either the link or by typing the address into the browser, is there an alternative download link available.

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can give on this issue.

When installing the 2.0 update, I get an error that says it was denied access to copy over controls_.pyd. I am running the update as admin on Windows Vista. Should I Ignore and continue, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,
Cory

Your FSX hasn't probably closed cleanly so, it denied access to opened files, a Windows reboot should fix it, but you need to run the new installer again, to complete it cleanly.

Just got home and their site is down for maintenance. Is there any other site we can download it from as it looks like the site will be down for some time.
