I can read... ::)
But nothing helped to fix it.

Some Information:
My latest Scenery was PHNL.
It worked until 1500 UTC.
Then I restarted FSX and it didn't start without any error message.
The latest change was the Microsoft Update, so I deinstalled it.
After that I had the bglmanx.dll error and searched for a solution in this Forum.
Then I did everything as explained here, but nothing helped.

I hope you understand me now...

Assuming you really tried all the previous suggestion, there's a new one I've just read on AVSIM which, BTW, clearly confirm (together with your report that the problem started with a Windows Update) that is something related to Windows.

- Go in the Control Panel, under User Account, and change your account from Administrator (if it's of the Administrator type ) to "Standard user"

- Don't launch FSX yet, but reboot Windows

- Go in the Control Panel again, then change your Account type to Administrator again

- Reboot Windows again.

- Try launching FSX now.

Thanks for the Reply.

Should I install the update before?

I take for granted that you already have updated the Addon Manager to the current version, which was one of the things that were suggested in the previous posts...if you haven't do it now, then try the thing with the User account if it still doesn't work.

Note that, it's important that you keep insting allowing the program to run, even if you see the error. If it doesn't disappear after a few tries, most of the times disappear after a reboot. But I would be interested to know if the User Account solution works, because it's a new suggestion I've read about this problem on Avsim forum yesterday.

Maybe it's best to reinstall the Windows update first.

I think it works now, but I don't know if it was really by this Standard-Admin thing, because I did several other things.
At least I reinstalled Addon-Manager (again).

Does this fix also work for the fs copilot issue?

No, the FS Copilot doesn't work with the Addon Manager

Update: After a complete reformat and install of Win 7 64bit I now have FS Copilot and FSDT running smoothly. I did not perform any windows updates. Not sure if that made a difference or not but I am a happy camper. Thanks for all your help.:) Now it's time for a QW 757.
