Hi, I’ve posted about this issue before, but I just wanted to share a bit more about the problem.
When Seated Passengers is turned on, my FPS drops significantly in external view.
In my case, it goes from around 48–50 FPS down to about 28–30 FPS.
At heavy airports with traffic enabled, it can drop even further to 21–24 FPS. Because of this, I currently have to keep Seated Passengers turned off.
What I find strange is that before SU4, performance was much better. Back then, Seated Passengers had a much smaller FPS impact — low enough that I could simply ignore it and enjoy having them enabled. So I’m wondering if there’s any chance this could be optimized or improved in a future update.
I also wanted to ask about a possible option:
When the cockpit door is closed, Seated Passengers are already disabled for the interior cockpit view. Would it be possible to also turn them off in the external view once the cockpit door is closed?
In practice, we rarely look at passengers from the external view while flying, and this could potentially restore performance to normal levels. It might be a reasonable workaround or optimization to consider.
Thank you~~
Thanks for your time and for the continued work on GSX.
